The team arrived back at the tower in complete darkness, fury met them on the landing dock " powers down, so is the backup generators" the team made their way down the dark stairs only little small red emergency lights
"Shit" bucky yelled out and ran past the team into the floor he shared with Steve, sam, and y/n. He burst into the floor and called out to her. He got no answer.
He tried her room next, not here or in her bathroom. The last place he looked was his room. Y/n was curled up in his blanket in the corner of the room. Low whimpers leaving her lips
"y/n" he spoke softly. Another whimper escaped her lips. Bucky bent down and placed his hand on her cheek she flinched back further into the corner
"Hey, it's ok it's just me" again his voice was a low whisper. Once y/n realized it was him she quickly curled up in his lap, he rubbed her back whispering sweet nothings in her ear.
An hour later the power was on bucky didn't move he didn't want to break the contact. Y/n reached up, cupped his face, and kissed him " thank you"
