So when I post gifs of most of the characters in this dc book it will be in animation form, that's what i'm using for my book except for Arthur aka Aquaman. I will be using the live action Aquaman then the animation ones. Sorry.

Chapter 3 Glitch

This all could lead to problems for Freya if she was put onto this mission. Like her own mission going haywire or not even happening— however that wouldn't be the case, this mission couldn't be canceled, not moved, not anything. This was planned for months now, there was only one chance to get them; there was no not going, there was for her to do both if she had to, she would just have to figure it out as she went with it.

The hope of not being put on this mission was high or on the fact that if she was really needed it was not a long or a hard mission, but also the fact that if she had to go, she hoped that she wasn't put on the same team as Dick and Zatanna, or have them separated from each other. She could not go through another while with the two being all so lovey-dovey with each other.

Freya knew wholeheartedly and by fact checking that Zatanna didn't like Dick Grayson in any way other than just teammates and close friends. There was no love, or even harboring any kind of romantic feeling for the flying Grayson. However the ‘love’ the magician really had was on the older brooding Batman, someone she knew she would never get in this timeline or in another since she was not his soulmate. There was a hundred percent no chance that Zatanna could ever get him, but she still tried.

Being who Freya was, she knew how Zatanna played— how most people were when it came down to most of her soulmates. She knew that Zatanna was just using Dick for anything she wanted or needed. Then when she was done with what she acquired, for a bit at least, she left him dry, mopping around or just normal. If she wanted ‘fun’ she'd go to him; if she needed some money, she'd ask him and he would deliver it to her because he's a kind friend/boyfriend. Freya was pretty sure Dick knew what was happening, and it seemed like he didn't care… so to her it was fine, sort of. 

It's weighing her further down like she was sinking in her own quick-sand. Everything was a fight to move forward. Every step was its own struggle, but what stopped her and pulled her down the most was Them. The more she let them be, the more the suffocating pressure pushed her deeper down. 

The wishing of being normal for once was annoying the fuck out of her. But it's true. The alien was never allowed to be herself on her own home planet and she is especially not getting any of it on planet earth. She can't be herself anywhere and it's draining all of her.

With not being able to be herself and coming to the conclusion that her soulmates dream of her true form then the knock-off look she needed. She used it to her advantage. It's helpful, but suffocating. Luckily that she wasn't blocked on who her soulmates looked like. It didn't matter if they had masks on or off, or if they were just normal people, she was saved from not missing out on not knowing who they were.

“No.” Kaldur shook his head and continued, “It's just a mission with Dick, Zatanna, Wally, Conner and I. You're free,” he said with his natural soft gentle tone and smile.

His smile, always so beautiful and wholesome, had her blushing fast and her chest tightening. The tightening that made you sick, not the bed ridden or the going to throw up kind of sickness, but a sickness that hurt nevertheless.

Already feeling the heat coming back to her cheeks, Freya tried to dodge it by a shook of her head, then followed it by a nod, “ok, cool,” she said, avoiding anyone's gaze for a second, but overthinking she made herself put her eyes back onto the one person she was talking to.
