Chapter 1 Freya

Third person POV.

Freya Daya, the only princess of the planet Nexusis and the only child of Queen Mira and King Mateo cried into her mothers neck as she held on for dear life to the only few life lines she felt safe and welcomed around. 

A grip like that had it hard to get her off her mother. "Mama, where's Papa?" She cried louder than she's ever cried before.

The young seven year old Freya was scared out of her mind. She couldn't wrap her young mind around the fact that just hours prior, everything was so beautiful and peaceful, and now it's….. ugly and horrid. 

It had all started three hours ago.

First, it was just a few of Kain's followers, but within an hour, it quickly turned into a hundred men, causing small disturbance. With another hour going by, the kingdom was over-run with thousands of his loyal followers attacking and taking over most parts of the kingdom; the food; the food source; the stones; the magic; and the powerful creatures from this used to be so peaceful and happy planet.

The main focus wasn't for any of that, though. Those were just bonuses for the ones that take more than give. The selfish.

The real reason why they're here causing all this bullshit was for the young princess of Nexusis.

One slipped up, and they were there.

With another explosion heard close by, Freya tightened her already tight grip on her mother. She cried even more, knowing that her mother may have to leave her at one point to help their people.

One by one, more explosions came and went. They could feel the explosions getting closer to them. They had to get out of here.

With all the loud banging, the young heir's ears and head rang loudly. This made her dizzy and weak to the body, especially her knees. Blood slightly bled out of her ears, nose, and eyes.

Scared she was, "Papa!" She cried out even more.

She wanted to see her father again, but when it all started three hours ago, he left to be with his knights so he could protect their planet and their queen and princess.

Mira pulled Freya's head from her body and wiped away the blood and tears from her face fast.

Freya, terrified, covered her ears to muffle out the constant explosions and screams of sorrows. The more she panicked, the more she would draw the enemy in.

So they knew they had to calm her down. If not, more distrusions will follow them.

Queen Mira looked down at her only daughter filled with sadness and the knowledge that she won't be coming back from this fight.

She knew this was going to be the last time she would ever see her daughter. "Papa is out helping the Guards protect you, my dear," she said weakly. She leaned down and kissed her daughter's forehead softly.

SLAM!!!

The room door slammed open wide with one of their guards. They knew they needed the queen's help at this point. They couldn't take him on any longer. Even with the king's help. "Queen Mira! We need you on the battlefield-” Another explosion was made, and this time it shook the castle grounds.
