Fire. So much fire. My eyes would burn just from the amount.

Pain. Misery. Agony. It would all be around me.

Tears were shed. Blood was spilled. Lies were told.

We would fight with all our strength. We would fall from exhaustion, but we wouldn't have the courage to stand back up.

I'd stare up at the dark and cloudy sky, arms sprawled out, and smile. A voice would say to not smile. I'd laugh. A voice would say its not funny.

I'd turn my head and stare at the source of the voice. It would be me. He'd say to turn back before it's too late. Turn back before we all fall.

I'd get up, ignoring the voice's pleas and cries, and I would walk. I'd walk past corpses. Burnt landscape. I wouldn't care. I got up. I walked.

Pretty soon, everything changed. Gone the fire and blood, come the painfulness of nothing. Nothing but sand around. I'd look up. Blue skies and brilliant sun.

Then, the sky would shatter, like broken glass. It would be blank. Nothing. The ground underneath would shake and break as well.

I'd fall. It would seem endless. The sky would return to the dark and cloudy sky from before and I would hit the ground.

I would look to my side, and I'd say that the voice was right, but I'd freeze. The voice, or me, would be dead, blood pouring out of his mouth. A sword would be stuck in his chest. His dead eyes would stare back to mine. His skin would pale. His skin would crack. He would shatter.

I'd turn back to the sky. Rain would start to pour. Lightning would start to crackle. I'd close my eyes.

I'd open them again. I would be in my room, writing about whatever this was. Was it a dream? A nightmare?

All I knew was that he was right. It's too late.
