Ok, so after the phone switch yesterday, I made sure not to mess up anything else for the day and I succeeded at it. Also, Alvin didn't scold me for that one, so I am good.
Today is my 3rd day in the office, and yet so far nothing uneventful happened for today so that's good I think. I didn't have anything to do so I scrolled down my phone aimlessly surfing through social media and munching on my chips loudly. Alvin didn't have any appointments today so I didn't need to accompany him anywhere nor did he give me any work. So I was bored.
Thinking of the devil, his office door opened, and the first thing to appear was his black trouser-covered long legs, followed by his body. I sat up straight and shoved everything under the desk, wiping the desk clean with my hand before he could see me.
"Lilliput, I have some exciting work for you," Alvin chirps, his hands in his pant pockets.
"Oh wow, what is it?" I ask acting enthusiastically. If I could just get paid for sitting idle, then that would have been great. That would be my dream job.
"I know when you act Lilliput, so don't bother." He chuckles, coming next to me, taking a strand of hair and rolling it around his long finger. Then he tugs it lightly.
"Ow!" I whine, feeling the pain in my scalp.
"Oops! my bad," he whispers non-apologetically, his hands in the air.
"What was that for?" I asked pouting, rubbing my head.
"Just wanted to see you pout," he smirks, flicking my head.
"Stop it, Alvin" I cry out, hastily getting up from my seat and creating distance between us.
"Ok, ok sorry baby, " he smiles cheekily, moving back but I still stand in my defensive position. I don't trust him. He likes messing with me sometimes.
"Anyways, I have important work for you today." he gets serious, so I slowly walk to my desk. "There should be an address book in the drawer, " he continues.
I open the drawer under my desk and look for the book he is talking about and I find it right in the back.
"Yup, there is," I announce taking the book/ dairy out.
"Check my last girlfriend's address and send her an apology card along with a bouquet," he says slowly, checking my reaction. The word girlfriend always churned my stomach but I would never show it to his face. Though he knew I didn't like his player ways.
"What for ?" I inquire instead squinting my eyes at him.
"Let's just say that because of someone, I couldn't dodge her call yesterday and was invited to dinner, which I did not go to. Also, she is getting kind of clingy," he finishes and I grimace, not meeting his eye anymore.
So I messed up yesterday and now I have to send her flowers? Cool.
"You don't want a clingy girlfriend?" I mumble, taking a snap of the address on my phone. Who wants to write it down?
"You know me well, baby," he says, patting my head. I want to take that hand and shove it up his-
"Don't do anything extra, yeah?" he whispers nervously afraid I would mess something this small.
"The faith you have in me," I mutter under my breath shaking my head.
"I'll leave you to it then," he says and leaves me to do the job.
I love flowers and I know a shop nearby so I get up and go there personally to select the flowers for his 'girlfriend'.
I select one beautiful bouquet for her and write an apology and I fetch some beautiful pink roses for me. This all was going on his account so I bought them for myself as well.
