"Medium, black." He mumbled, handing me his card. I smiled softly at him. "Will that be all, sir?" I asked, already cashing him out. He gave me a soft nod.
I began making his cup of coffee, until I sensed someone walk towards the register. Grabbing the full cup, I turned around to see Natalie.
Her hands were on the desk, leaning close to him. He leaned back, staring down at her.
I watched the scene quietly. Natalie, what are you up to.

Natalie smiled. "You're her boyfriend, right?" She asked, nudging her head towards me as a gesture. I internally sighed of relief that she didn't use my name. He blinked a few times and continued staring down at her. "Um." He mumbled. I quickly put a lid on the cup and looked at Natalie. "Nat-" I whispered to her, but she cut me off by grinning at him. "Do you want to go on a double date with her, me, and my boyfriend?" She asked bluntly.
I locked my gaze on her, then broke it to look at him. He glanced over at me, then at her. "Sure." He answered.
My eyes widened slightly. Natalie gave him a toothy smile. "Great! We're going to Jade, the new restaurant down on Ridgeway Avenue. You two can come around 6:30, if you want." She said, glancing at me with a smile, then grabbing the cup from my hand and handing it to him. "Oh and you both should dress formally." She said, alternating her gaze on us both.

He grabbed the coffee. He glanced at me, then began walking to his table.
I watched as he walked off, my face growing hot. I turned to Natalie who was looking at me with a grin.
"Natalie!" I exclaimed with an angry blush. She rose an eyebrow at me and put her hands on her hips sassily. "What? I'm helping you here. More dates for you, yeah?" She asked with a grin.
I crossed my arms and looked away, still blushing. "Well, the boyfriend question is still unsettled between us." I mumbled. She smiled and grabbed my shoulders. "That's exactly why I'm putting you on this date. Besides, you don't have a choice. I already made reservations yesterday." She said.
I looked at her in shock, but she only giggled. "You're welcome." She said, then skipped off.
I pursed my lips and glanced over at him. He sipped his coffee, then softly glanced at me, then shifting it back to his laptop.

Formal... Formal... Formal...
I looked through my closet, nothing but the sound of fabric and the clanks of plastic hangers emerged.
I already did my make up and hair, but now the biggest struggle was finding something to wear.
I sighed out. I don't really own anything formal.
How formal were we going? I perked up in thought, then ran to my bed and grabbed my phone.
I started searching this Jade place or whatever, and looked at the pictures and reviews.
It seemed pretty formal. I bit my lip softly. Oh god, I'm gonna fail at this.
I laid down on my bed, sighing out, until.

I looked over at my phone, grabbing it and opening it. I was expecting a message from Natalie anyways.
I opened it, and my heart started fluttering to see the message was from him.
I instantly sat up.

???:
Barista. I'm in front of your apartment.

What? Already? I looked at the time, it was 6:21. I bit my lip. How long have I been looking around for?

Y/N:
oh god, im sorry i might take a while, i can't find anything to wear.

???:
Oh?
What number is your apartment?

What? Is he coming up to my apartment? Is he going to help me?

Y/N:
oh- apartment 8

He read my message and didn't reply. I bit my lip, was he coming up to my messy apartment? I looked around, embarrassed. This apartment was as small as his bedroom.
Panic rooted throughout my body and I instantly started picking up a little, trying to make it look slightly appropriate.

That's when I heard a knock at my door. With a blush, I went over to it and opened it to see him.
My blush intensified when I saw him. He looked so professional. He was wearing a suit. His black hair was soft and his brown eyes locked down on me.
He tampered with the cuffs of his suit. "Barista?" He asked. I blushed and looked down. I was wearing a hello kitty pajama shirt and some unmatching pajama pants. "Don't judge me." I mumbled, then grabbed his hand and pulled him inside, closing the door behind me.

He smiled softly and looked around my apartment. "Having trouble?" He asked, then glanced down at me. I softly sighed. "I don't own anything formal! I don't even know how to dress formal. The last time I dressed formal was my cousins wedding when I was 11." I said with a soft sigh, then went over to my bed and plopped down on it face first.
I felt him sit on my bed and put his hand on my head in reassurance. "It's alright, we'll find something for you." He said. I tilted my head and looked at him with one eye. "How do you know?" I asked, half of my mouth against the bed, so it sounded really muffled.

He smiled softly down at me, then got up and went up to my closet. I quickly sat up and watched him go to my closet. Oh god, I hope he doesn't judge my messiness.
He shuffled through my clothes, then grabbed a plastic hanger off the pole. He took it out of the closet and looked down at me, showing me a pretty black dress I owned. It had lace frills on the shoulders, and a pretty sundress build.

I blushed. "Yeah, I saw that one already. I just..." I sighed, looking down, then sitting on my bed. "It's been years since I've worn it. I'm worried it won't fit me anymore." I explained quietly, feeling every insecurity of mine rising up.

His hand made its way under my chin, and he raised my head to make me look at him. I looked up into his eyes, and they were filled were reassurance.
"Stand up." He demanded, but with a much gentler approach.
I blushed and stood up. He placed the dress on my bed, then grabbed the bottom of my shirt, pulling it up.
My body started growing hotter as he started undressing me. He pulled my pants off. He grabbed the dress and took the hanger off of it. Then he carefully slipped the dress on. I felt it slightly tighter than I last wore it, but I didn't really care with the way he was treating me.

After adjusting my dress, I felt a cold sensation on my back. I forgot this dress was a zip up.
He turned me around, then zipped up the dress. I blushed and bit my lip as he did, looking down.
I felt him come closer from behind, then I felt him put his hands on my waist. His head leaned closer to mine.

"You're gorgeous, barista." He mumbled softly.
