The Rise ~Wilbur x oc~

The next day was pretty boring, it was storming all day and Dream had gone out on another trip with George and Sapnap. They were going to be gone a few days, at least so he said. So that day I just worked on the flags for Wilbur. I got a few done by the time I got too tired to stay awake.

I woke up to a grumbling stomach, with a sigh I got up from the couch. My arm hurt a bit from the way I had slept. I got some food and ate, looking outside I could see the sun already in the sky. I must've been up later than I thought. I got ready before I packed up the flags and grabbed an apple and headed out. I munched on the apple as I walked down the prime path towards L'manberg. I let out a squeal as a loud "BOO" was shouted from behind me. Well there goes the rest of my apple. I turned around to see Tubbo doubled over in laughter.
"You should have seen your face" he laughed.
"I'll get you back for that Tubbo" I warned squinting at him.
"Yeah yeah" he shrugged and we headed to L'manberg. We walked in and Tommy ran over to Tubbo and started talking about something that I wasn't really paying attention to.
"Where's Wilbur?" I asked.
"In the hto dog van" Tommy said and I nodded. I headed over to the van before walking inside to see Wilbur and Fundy.
"Tommy I thought I sa- oh Kiara! Sorry I thought it was Tommy again" Wilbur apologised running his fingers through his hair.
"Sorry, did you want me to wait outside?" I asked motioning to the door with my thumb.
"It's fine we were basically done anyway" Fundy said giving me a quick smile as he left. Wilbur let out a sigh as he ran his fingers through his hair once again as he leant back against the wall of the van,
"Are you alright?" I asked softly looking at him and putting a hand on his arm.
"Yeah, just... kids" he said with a small laugh.
"What did Tommy do?" I asked sitting up on the bench.
"No, not Tommy, not this time" Wilbur said his eyes on the ground "Fundy actually, it's not his fault, I was the one who wasn't there"
"I'm a tad lost" I replied.
"I wasn't around when he was growing up, I left him with his mum and he grew up without a dad" Wilbur replied,
"Hold on, is Fundy your son?" I asked.
"Didn't you know?" Wilbur asked and I shook my head. "I'm not surprised he doesn't want to tell anyone" I couldn't help but feel a bit bad for him as he looked to the roof of the van.
"Wilbur" I said softly and he just shook his head as he squeezed his eyes shut. I reached out taking his arm and pulling him closer and into a hug. "You can still make it up to him" I said rubbing his back.
"But all these yea-" he started as a few tears fell from his eyes.
"Hey, you both are still here, you can fix things up. Just think right now, you're making a home for him with L'manberg, somewhere safe for him" I said and heard a creak from the door. I looked over to see Tommy, I waved my hand, silently telling him to leave. He looked at Wilbur and went to say something but I just shook my head and glared at him pointing at the door and he got the idea and left.
"It's going to be ok" I said and wiped some tears from his cheeks. He gave me a half smile and nodded,
"I can fix this" he said slowly nodding. I gave him one last squeeze before pulling back a bit. "Thank you" he said looking down at me.
"It's ok" I smiled at him. "But I have something that might cheer you up" I said before pulling out the flags.
"You finished them already?" He asked surprised.
"Yeah, it was stormy yesterday, so I didn't really have anything else to do" I said as he unraveled one,
"This is perfect" he said laying it out on the bench for a better look. I couldn't tell if he was just a little stunned by it or still a bit upset.
"Only the best" I said with a small laugh.
"Thank you" he said and rolled it back up. He walked out to the door before I heard him shout out to the boys. All three soon came in. "Kiara here has made some flags for us" Wilbur said holding up one of them.
"Holy shit" Fundy said.
"That's fucking poggers man" Tommy said excitedly.
"Told you they would be good" Tubbo said proudly.
"Anyway you three are going to hang them up" Wilbur said before handing them out. The boys then headed out. "I need to go finish off something but feel free to hang out here" Wilbur gave me a smile.
"Either way I won't be too far" I said with a small laugh. Wilbur nodded and headed out.
