Draco's POV
Snape's lifeless body laid in my arms. I couldn't help but sob uncontrollably. Two of the people that I considered family in this world were dead. Micah was like a brother to me. Snape was, for all intents and purposes, my father. This battle needed to be over. I needed to protect Lila and Courtney. Voldemort could come back at any moment. I slowly set Snape's head on the ground before I stood up.
"I need to go back to the castle," Harry said, "won't you go with me? We can view Snape's memories together," he held up the vial full of his tears.
I shook my head. "I need to find a safe place for Lila. Then, I need to find Courtney. I have to protect what little I have left."
He nodded in understanding, patted my shoulder, and then left, taking Ron and Hermione with him. I looked around at the four people that were left with me. Mitch had his arms around Lila but kept Diana close to him. Millicent was on her knees, rocking back and forth. She was muttering about how she couldn't do this. That it wasn't fair. She was right. We were just kids.
"What do we do now?" Mitch asked, his face tear-streaked.
I took in a deep breath. "We need to get to the Room of Requirement. It has a tunnel we can use to get the girls to safetly."
"What if he comes after us? He wants to do the ritual today," Millicent cried out.
"We just need to try and spare your lives for as long as we can," I explained. "He's going to kill you regardless. Perhaps Potter will help us all out and kill the bastard."
She shook her head. "He won't win."
"Let's all just have some hope that we can get away from this castle and to a place where we can hide," Mitch said, helping Lila stand up.
"Draco, where is Blaise?" Millicent asked. "I haven't seen him since last night. You would think that He would want him here in all this. He didn't...kill him, did he?"
I shook my head. "Blaise got hurt terribly last night, but he is alive. He is at the safe place on the other side of the tunnel we need to get to."
She nodded. "As long as I can get to him, everything will be alright."
"Does anyone want to say some final goodbyes to Snape and Micah?" I asked.
"No," Millicent said while standing. "He wasn't that important."
"You are having his baby," Lila pointed out. "I think he is a little important."
She shook her head. "Just technicalities."
I blinked at her. "Are you serious right now? We're doing everything we can in order to save your child."
"A child that I don't want," she shrugged. "I don't want kids ever. I was planning on letting Him do whatever he wanted with the little bugger. I guess now that I'll be giving it up for adoption when all this is finally over."
"You will do no such thing," Mitch interjected. "I will take my brother's child. You don't need to worry about it. And to think, Micah was actually falling in love with a bitch like you."
She rolled her eyes. "So be it. It's not like I never told him about my feelings for Blaise."
"Too bad he's in love with me, you heartless cunt," Kamrynn's voice rang out from behind me. "Yeah, that's right," she said as all eyes laid on her, "I'm here. Draco brought me."
"Kam, there you are," I said, remembering that she had been behind me the whole time.
"I didn't go anywhere, Malfoy," she retorted. "Let's get these bitches to safety."
