👑king Edward's POV👑

All is done. Andrew must be on his way. I was quite not fine with sending him to buy her from there. The last time I saw Katherine she was in his arms. I didn't like that, she ran away from me when I followed her and caught her in his arms. I could see all the hurt on her face but that ass of my guard was getting too carried away. Maybe it was right to send him to get her, I know she would be scared and maybe that lover boy would help her calm. But no I don't want her calm, I want her scared and helpless, I want her beneath me and I want her to feel the pain.

Sound of a horse cart got my attention. I knew it was her. I got out of my reading room and started walking towards the gates. As I reached I saw the horse cart was inside the palace and parked in its place while Andrew was on his way of opening the door to the cart.

"Stop right there" I shouted at him. I would be the one she should see and I would be the one to take her out. I need to keep him away from her.

"You should have saved me Andrew" as she said that I couldn't ignore the hate in her voice. The sadness and shame. She said my name as if it was poison. I couldn't blame her, I should have saved her. I can save her. But do I dare? Do I dare to stand against him? I know he is cruel and I know that I have to get back on him for what he did to me. I cannot help her now. This not help me meet my mission. This would only ruin my work. I love her... I do... But I can't risk all the work by me and the others for my selfish desires. I have to give her away.

I didn't say a word to her. If I have to stop myself from ruining our plan I have to make her hate me more and I have to start hating her. I didn't reply and just turned her roughly around in the cart so that I was facing her back. I pulled her arms back roughly and tied them tight and then closed the cart door. This if for my family.. I reminded myself and walked towards the horses and climbed on and starting moving towards the palace.

Her behavior was strange though. She was not fighting. It's like she gave up.

I know her fighting and challenging attitude because that day at palace was not the first day I saw her. I have a,ways been watching her when she goes to the market. She passes these gates and she always looks at them like everyone else. But it was different because she didn't see theses gates in an aww. She only hates them which made me like her more. She was unique. But right now it seemed like she had given up. The whole ride was silent. I couldn't get over the image of the slaves master at the slave market who has harassed her in front of everyone. I couldn't get over the image of all those men howling and looking at her as if she was an object. I could help my anger when the slaves master hit her. But I have to get over them. I can't keep this on

⏰⏰⏰⏰1 hour ride to the palace⏰⏰⏰⏰

I could see the palace gates now. It was tough ride as I couldn't help when I almost was about to turn around and help her escape. She didn't make a sound the whole ride. Maybe she is asleep.

The other guard Nicholas opened the gates as he saw me coming. I parked the cart and saw that there was no sign of the king here yet. I got off and decided that should take her out and into the palace.

Just as I was about to open the cart door his venomous voice echoed into my ears and I couldn't help as my grip tightened on the door handle because of the rage even his name sent through me.

"Stop right there" he shouted and I calmed myself and let go of the handle.

👑king Edward's POV👑

He let go of the handle and I walked with long strides towards the cart and as I reached it and gave a daring look to Andrew.

"You can leave now, your duty is no longer required" I said to Andrew looking towards the cart door which was closed. Why hasn't she came out? Maybe she is asleep. He nodded and was about to leave when I grabbed his shirt and pulled him towards me.

"I don't want you around her anymore, you have served me and that's where your service ends. If I see you even looking at her... Well you can consider it your last day" I threatened him and his look was not of fear it was rage. His eyes.... It was first time I had looked into them and they seemed somehow familiar.

"As you wish my lord" he said finally and I let him go. Taking a last look at him appearance. Where have I seen him before? I let go of the thought and as Andrew stood besides the other guard, what's his name? Nicholas maybe. I looked towards the cart door again and opened it.

I saw Katherine asleep on the cart seat. Her hands were tied behind her back and her hair was all over her face. Her dress was dirty and slightly torn by the shoulder. Which sent rage through and I looked towards Andrew who was very keenly looking at sleepy Katherine too.

"Did you touch her?" I said calmly but anger was dripping from my tone. He looked at me in shock and shook his head.

"No my lord, I- I would... It was the slaves master, he is a harsh guy and handles his slaves roughly and...." I raised my hand and he stopped. I took a deep breath I knew that idiot master of that market he is feared do much that no kingdom has ever said a word against him. Maybe this is because of the beauties that he provides.

I looked towards Katherine again and went a little in to pull her out. I removed the hair from her face and looked at her lovely face. She was so peaceful in her sleep. There were marks of dried out tears on her cheek. She was not like other girls I have met before. They all fall for my looks and worship the ground I walk on. But she... She never gave up her grace. She always stood up to me and that fascinated me. But the fascination was gone after she disrespected me and ran away. It was weird the way she was acting. She was scared for some reason.

I pulled her out and picked her up and placed her on my shoulders. I have never had any girl in the kingdom treat me like that and I will not let it go. As I put her on my shoulders I started walking toward the palace. She was sound sleep but she won't be getting any for long. I can promise that.

I went into the palace and to the dark chambers where all the prisoners were kept. I went into the last chamber to right. It was a creepy place. All smelly and filled with dirt with so light but just one small window in each chamber which only allowed the sun light I come in through its red and yellow colored glass. The chamber guard followed me and opened the door to chamber 3497 and moved in and placed Katherine on the floor of the chamber. I motioned the guard to do what he always does. He nodded and moved towards her.

He took both her hands out of the rope and placed in one of the chains on the chamber walls. He then placed a metal collar around her neck which was also attached to the chamber walls with a metal chain and then finally placed a gag in her mouth. He looked towards me after he was done and I nodded in satisfaction.

Now all I had to do was wait for her to wake.
