Arlo was coughing out water violently, jerking forward every second. Jeremiah was behind him, smacking his back (whilst laughing). Mio was the one who grabbed everyone's attention and told them that Arlo didn't know how to swim, but Kingston was the one who grabbed him out of the pool after watching Arlo struggle for a few seconds.

"You guys - ACK!" Arlo began coughing again as Jeremiah's slap interrupted what he was going to say. "Stop it!" he yelled at Jeremiah before letting out a few more coughs. "I hate you."

"Are you okay?" Mio asked, trying to act concerned. It was clear he was trying not to laugh.

Arlo glared at him. "Do I fucking look okay to you?" he yelled. "Nevermind that - you all suck. Especially you!" he pointed to Kingston who, surprisingly, looked a bit guilty. Pleasure took over though and Kingston just made fun of Arlo.

"Says the baby who can't swim. Do you want your mommy's milk?" He laughed, throwing his head back.

If eyes could kill, Kingston would be six feet under.

"It's not even funny..." Arlo muttered. "Maybe at first, yeah. But you guys literally sat there and laughed while I was drowning. I could've fucking died."

"Good." Kingston rolled his eyes.

"I think that's enough," I cut in, giving Kingston a nasty stare. He wasn't being funny. "I'm taking Arlo inside," I continued to say as I walked over to Arlo and helped him up. He silently followed me, gaze on the floor. The others were absolutely silent.

Inside the house, Arlo let out a small sigh. "Was I overreacting?" he asked, looking apologetic.

I shook my head no. "No. You could've got hurt. What they did wasn't cool."

He smiled softly. "Thanks, Xion. For having my back there."

I didn't say anything. "Do you need something? Are you cold? I can run the shower for you - and make you something warm to drink. And food, if you're still hungry." Arlo stopped walking as he was entering the living room.

"Um, that's fine! I'll just go take a shower alone. You don't have to do anything."

I didn't reply verbally, just nodded. And then he left to do his business. Despite him telling me to not do anything, though, I still feel like I should do something - and so I do. I first go to look for clothes for him, a hoodie or anything comfy. Once I got the clothes, I put them outside the bathroom.

One look in the pantry and I noticed we have chocolate bars, so I took one out and rushed to put it on top of his clothes. Just a little treat. With the other chocolate bars, I decided to make hot chocolate.

I was just done making the hot chocolate when Mio came in.

"Oh, fancy! Who's it for?" he asked with a suggestive or teasing smile. I couldn't tell the difference.
