Ash and Serena join back up together after Ash travels through Alola and set off on a new journey together in a new region. What is it? What will face them? How will they cope? Will they get together? Answers to come in this fantastic journey!
Serena was startled awake by the airplane wheels hitting the runway. She looked out the window to see the great city of Seattle. Many buildings surrounded the airport and in the distance, she could see large, green mountains. As the plane taxied to the gate, it turned, giving Serena a full view of the Puget Sound. Dozens of boats and pokémon were on the water.
"Wow, what a great view! Right, Ash?" Serena asked, not getting a response. "Ash?"
She turned around to see Ash still asleep in his chair. Pikachu was sitting on his lap, shaking his head. She was shocked to even see Gary asleep as well on the other side of Ash.
Serena sighed. "Pikachu, would you please..."
Pikachu nodded, then released a weak Thunderbolt attack straight at Ash and Gary.
Several people jumped when the boys' screams rang out.
"Morning, you two!" Serena said, cheerfully.
The boys only glared at Serena and Pikachu until they entered the terminal.
"Alright. Let's get our bags and head to the gym!" Ash said.
"But Ash, we need to stop by the Professor's lab, remember?" Gary said, elbowing Ash in the side.
"Oh. Right." Ash said, holding the place Gary hit him.
"Pika." Pikachu sighed, shaking his head.
They grabbed their bags and exited the airport. They stood at the entrance and just looked at the city.
"So, where is this lab?" Serena asked, looking it up on her tablet. "I found it!" She sighed. "Looks like it's on the other side of town."
"That's alright. We get to have a good look at the city, then!" Ash said.
Serena smiled. She was glad that Ash was back to his old, energetic self. She nodded. "You're right. Let's go!"
The two jogged off, leaving Gary behind, smirking. "Just wait till they hear about the metro." He turned away and headed to the subway entrance.
Ash and Serena were walking through the heart of the city, looking at the buildings, people, and pokémon around them.
"Man, what an awesome city! Look! There's a Rufflet!" Ash said, pointing to a small Rufflet riding on a man's shoulder.
"And there are Wingulls flying up there!" Serena added, pointing up at the sky.
"Woah! What's that pokémon!" Ash said, pointing to a tiny green ant-like pokémon that was standing next to a woman.

"Oh, this here is my partner, Cadant." She replied.
"A Cadant! Awesome! I can't wait to meet so many new pokémon!" Ash cheered, running off.
Serena sighed, smiled, and chased after him. The woman shook her head and walked off as well.
As Ash and Serena continued on their way to the Professor's lab, they enjoyed meeting so many pokémon and window shopping. However, their fun was cut short when someone screamed.
