Jennie's POV

This night sucks. Mom forced me to come here to this restaurant. I just want to stay home and take a nap. I sighed and Jisoo looked at me. "You doing alright? Mandu." She rubbed my shoulder as I eat the fantastic dumplings they have here. "I wish we were home right now, it's been such a long day. We finally finish unpacking yesterday and today mom had us do a bunch of work." I said rolling my eyes and leaning back on my seat. "I mean why can't we have a day off It's so tiring to move and immediately go to work," I grunt and sip on my glass of wine. "I feel you girl, it's so tiring but hey we have to listen to what she says, she is the boss." Jisoo smiles. "Oh, and by the way how did the job go? Did you get it?" My curious older sister asked. "I got it, they called me back yesterday after I sent in my resume, they definitely like the star rating I have," I giggled. "Wow, I didn't think they would have a need to hire an assassin," Jisoo said. "What is a modeling agency hiring assassins for?" Jisoo sipped on her orange juice. I was about to answer when our mom stepped into the conversation.

Mom leans in and says "The Park Labels is a massive name in Korea, run by a very powerful family. It's under new management these years, hand down by their parents I heard the park siblings are now running the label."

"But that doesn't explain why they're hiring an assassin,"

"Of course, you wouldn't know Jichu, you're an actress it's not in your field."

"Jisoo-ah, with a big name like that the label, most likely has other businesses, and those probably have ties to gangsters and criminals," Mom explained.

"So they're hiring me to become a bodyguard?"

"Maybe not Jennie, but whatever it is they're paying a big check." Jisoo smiles.

"I'm very happy you got the job, Jennie, I knew you could do it, my skilled daughter." I smiled at mom's compliment.

"To a new start and to my daughter's new job!" Mom raised her glass of wine.

A few hours go by our little mother-daughter bonding has gotten out of hand. I'm drunk as fuck and so is our mom. Jisoo is doing fine since she chose not to drink. My face was very red and it was getting hard to see. "Oh crap, I need to pee!" I wheezed and stood up with my glass of wine. "I'll be back in a bit," I said and blew a kiss to my family. I'm in heels and drunk so walking isn't a very good idea but I did it anyway. I started walking to the bathroom when I suddenly trip over myself and bumped into someone spilling my glass of wine onto them. Fuck. It was a tall figure with a very fit body and had a nice scent, my drink was all over their shirt making it see-through and revealing a prominent chest and their toned upper abs. I looked up and saw them staring at me. What a creep, he's staring right at me. "Quit the staring pervert, and get out of my way!" I yelled and threw the rest of my drink onto them and pranced out of there. Luckily, Jisoo came to my rescue once again because I think that crazy man was about to attack me. I walked in the bathroom and did what I had to do.

I sat back down at the table realized. "Ugh, I left my glass in the bathroom." I facepalmed and Jisoo laughs at me. "You're so funny when you're drunk," she says. Ugh, how rude. "Mom can we go home I'm so tired and my head is spinning," I asked my mom and pouted. "Oh, of course, Jennie, let me go pay the bill and we can go," Mom smiled weirdly, probably because she was drunk. While waiting, I saw the guy that I bumped into leave the bathroom. "Unnie, thanks for scaring that guy away for me." I poked Jisoo to get her attention. "Was he staring at you?? He looks very handsome," She laughed. "Jisoo I thought you were into girls," I looked at her confused. "I am but I'll appreciate a beautiful man when I see one," She smiled as she stood up. "Cmon Jennie, let's go."
