AUTHOR'S POV
"Thank you, Mr. Gim, Park Labels appreciate your cooperation," Liam bows to their last target of the day as Jennie accepts the briefcase filled with cash.
"It's my pleasure guys, sorry for the late return and having you two come retrieve this personally," Mr. Gim apologizes.
"It's no problem, sir, it's what we do," Jennie shows her gummy smile as Liam watches her flash that adorable smile he's never seen before. Seeing how cute she looked with a smile like that, Liam uncontrollably smiles too.
"Have a nice day you two," Mr. Gim smiles and waves as the two assassins walk out and into their car.
"Finally," Liam groans and rubs his neck. Jennie fastens her seatbelt and leans back into the car seat taking a deep breath. "Do you always smile like that?" Liam looks at her as he starts driving off. "Huh? I'm not even smiling," Jennie asked confused. "The way you smiled at that guy earlier, do you always smile like that?" Liam asks again. "You were looking at me?" Jennie questions the taller one. "Yes, you should smile more," Jennie looks at him as he said that with a gentle smile. "That's a weird request," Jennie brushed off his comment as she pulled out her phone and starts scrolling through social media. "You look adorable when you smile," Jennie was stunned by what he said. "Thank you.." Jennie replied quietly not looking at him. Liam peeked at her smiling, knowing she got shy from the comment.
"Anyways, you hungry?" Liam asks as turns the headlights on since it's getting late. "Yes a little bit, why?" Jennie asks looking at him. "Well, I did say id treat you to some beer, didn't I?" Liam looked back at her smiling. Jennie looks away from his beautiful and handsome smiling face and nods. "But, I did say I don't want any, plus why would I want to drink with you," Jennie scoffs at him. "Are you sure you don't want to?" Liam asked with a teasing voice. "Cmon noona~," Liam says again with a cute voice trying his best to convince Jennie to come with. "I thought you hated me, why are you being so friendly all of a sudden?" Jennie asks. "Well, I may hate you but that doesn't mean we can't drink beer together," Liam's smile fades away, and props his back on the seat again. "Uhh..yeah, it kinda does mean that, because you hate me so much, I thought you said you don't even want to spend a second with me," Jennie laughs. "If you say so." Liam shrugs and the awkward silence settles in again.
. . .
Liam stops the car in front of the Park Labels again as he drops Jennie off. Without saying anything, Liam watches as Jennie opens the door and exits. She shuts the door and Liam fires up the engine and starts speeding off while throwing an insulting fuck you middle finger out the window for his partner. "So fucking immature," Jennie shakes her head and starts walking towards her car. Jennie enters her car and starts the engine, then starts driving her way home.
Jennie parks her car and couldn't be happier to be home, opening the front door and walking in Jennie sees her sister sitting on the couch watching her drama. "Good show?" Jennie sat down next to Jisoo and throws her head back on the couch. "Yeah, I'm so good," Jisoo smirks then looks up and down at Jennie. "Long day?" Jisoo asked. Looking at Jisoo with her dead eyes, Jennie pathetically nods. "Well, there's some leftover dumplings in the kitchen, eomma figured you'd be tired and hungry," Jisoo points with her chin as her eyes focus on the screen. Jennie's eyes brighten up and quickly ran to the kitchen to devour her dumplings. "I love it when mum makes dumplings," Jennie hurried and ate the dumplings even rolling her eyes back from how good it is.
After eating her favorite, Jennie washed the plate and made her way into her room. Jennie starts her nightly routine by wiping off the makeup and stepping into the shower for a hot shower. The hot water calmed down her tense muscles from work making her relaxed. As she was washing her hair the thought of Liam smiling and telling her that her smile was adorable popped into Jennie's head. Jennie smiled a little and blushed, Geez. Jennie thought to herself as she wondered why his words made her smile like that. She started thinking about the other interactions with that little dickhead of a partner. She still wondered what Liam meant when he said her lips would look good around him.
