It had been 6 years since Voraati last saw Vi and Powder. No day went by that she hadn't thought about Vi, everyday she would look in the crowds for that pink hair and blue eyes. She was always met with disappointment, it was hard to accept that she would never see her again, if she was even alive. Voraati worked at the Brothel, she couldn't bring herself to continue stealing from Piltover. It reminded her too much of that day everything took a turn for the worst. She took advantage of her body and natural agility and used it to get paid. Whether she dance on a pole or role play as somebody's mother. It was disgusting but it paid well, not to mention the free shimmer she got from her customers. After her first hit of the purple substance she could never leave it alone. Drug addiction wasn't one of the things she had on her list growing up but life happens, it's very cruel and unfair. Silco now ruled the Underground along his daughter, Jinx and his muscle Sevika as his 2nd in command.
Sevika was no stranger to Voraati, she came to her as regular. It's who she got all her information from, where she learned that Jinx wasn't Jinx, she was Powder. It came as a huge shock to her that Powder had joined someone like Silco. It never made any sense to her as to why Powder would ever do such a thing, something Powder would never do. It tore her not being able to do anything to save her. Voraati was just one person and no way Silco would ever let anybody near Powder unless it was necessary. For months she tried to formulate a plan to get Powder out and away, safe from him. But it all came to nothing, Powder was always guarded by him or his goons. The only way to cross paths with her is to cross paths with Silco. That was not something she was willing to risk.
Voraati lived in an apartment that was only a few streets down from The Last Drop. It was expensive and she almost didn't make rent every month, it was worth it to her. Being able to be so close to where all her memories were made. It made it all worth it even if she had to cater to people's disgusting needs. It was the only thing keeping her sane.
Knocking herself out of her train of thought she looked around the room she was in. Dark purple walls and a tough black carpet surrounded her. A small circular stage was placed in the middle of the square room and a rotating pole in the center of the stage. It was a big room but not so big it could take up an entire lobby. Voraati picked up her bag full of extra outfits and a few pipes for shimmer. Placing it in a cubby that was stashed away under the stage. She stood up straight fixing her outfit that had gotten folded and creased when she had bent down. Then she walked over to the music player in the corner of the room on the far left wall, not caring what song played she turned the volume down so it just played softly in the background. Wandering over to one of the few couches that were strewn about the room and lazily plopping herself down. The hold she had on her pipe tightened, she didn't want to smoke but she just couldn't stop. One of the guilty pleasures she got was the bliss of the day before only being a haze, it also helped her forget about everything for just a little while before it came crashing on her ten times harder than the last.
Today is going to be a long day.
She thought to herself. Bringing the pipe up to her lip and deeply inhaling, she held it for a moment before letting it out through her nose. resting her head back as she felt it starting to take affect. It was hard to accept that this is what she was now and if she could end it, she would have done that years ago. But Powder needs her and she'll never stop looking for Vi even if it's until she does inevitably meet her untimely demise. Heavy footsteps were heard heading down the long hall. It sounded like Sevika came for a short visit. lifting her head up she took another drag from her pipe as she watched the curtains covering the doorway for any movement. Low and behold there the tall woman stood with a stoic look on her face but her eyes said more, she was excited, when was she not. Voraati was her favorite at the brothel as far as she was concerned. Though she was never sure if that was a good or bad thing. Setting her pipe down on the small table next to the couch she resided on, she prepared herself mentally. It wasn't always easy having to fake it till you make it everyday but it was one of the things she had no choice in so, she just endured.
