Chapter 2

Fiancé

"I'm engaged." Like a bomb, I told my friends. CC looked weirdly at me with her brows knotted while Ian almost died choking on his soda. Sana nga natuluyan na.

"The hell is wrong with you? Kailangan talaga magsasabi ka ng ganyang bagay nang may laman ang bunganga ko?" reklamo nito kaya mabilis ko siyang pinalo sa likuran para matulungan.

"That's what your parents wanted, then 'bout you? Are you okay with that?" CC questioned, worried is evident on her pretty face.

"You guys knew how much I wanted my parents to notice me. The effort to please them has been what I am doing all these years but this guy, made my dad called me his precious daughter for the first time." I smiled explaining to them as I remembered that day. I almost didn't sleep because of how my dad treated me that night kept me awake the whole night.

He accompanied me throughout the night, telling everyone I am his daughter even though that guy, Toby whatever his name is, would butt in and ruin my night. The least he did good is that he didn't tell anybody about our engagement. Not that I care about it though.

"This is not about them, Raja. Marriage is sacred. Two people binded because of love, the law and estate would refer to them as a couple. You will become one family, remember?" Seryosong paalala ni CC sa akin. Ian even nodded in agreement to her long speech.

"Oo nga naman, Rayala. Ikaw mag-aasawa? Eh di ka pa nga matured! Ilang taon ka na nga? Kinse?" I gritted my teeth with the words Ian spouted.

"Such nonsense! Kung di mo maalalang kupal ka, magkasing-edad tayong lahat dito." sagot ko sa kaibigan kong nakakairita. I rolled my eyes when he glared at me.

"Whatever you saying." he dismissed as if it meant nothing. "The most important question is who is that unlucky guy?"

"Excuse me? Anong akala mo sa akin hindi deserve maging fiancée? Sa ganda at sexy kong to?" I even tucked my hair behind my ears to emphasize my face at iminuwestra ang katawan ko para patunayan.

"Where? Asan diyan?" Asar pa niya kaya susugurin ko na sana siya nang bigla kaming inawat ni CC, as always.

"Calm down guys, we've been straying too far from our topic. Raja, your fiancé okay? What's his name?" CC pulled me towards my chair and made me sit. I inhaled few breaths to calm down.

"Dunno, I think his name is Toby something..." Nag-isip muna ako para alalahanin ang pangalan niya. "Yup, Toby something Madrigal." I shrugged as I failed remembering.

"Si TJ?" Nanlalaking matang saad ni Ian.

"Hindi, ikaw. Ikaw fiancé ko Ian, sabing Toby eh." hirit ko pero binatukan lang ako ni Ian. This guy have been taking everything physical huh? "Hey, remember I'm a girl okay? Makabatok ka akala mo mga katropa mo ako. Dahan-dahan naman!" reklamo ko kuno para pagmakonsensya babatukan ko din siya, mas malakas pa.

"Talk to Vitamin C about physical strength." I grimaced thinking how strong CC can be. She's an athlete ever since we were children. "So, si TJ asawa mo?"

"Hindi ko siya asawa parang awa, bakit kilala mo siya?"

"He's my friend, same course kami pero iba section." He took out his phone and tapped the screen so many times until he gave it to us. "Siya yan di ba?"

CC and I looked at the phone and saw his FB account. The guy's name is Toby James Madrigal, same age and studying Engineering too like Ian. He doesn't post so much so there's nothing in his account except for some tagged photos of him together with his friends, all boys. Some pictures even have Ian on it too.
