I think you know what happened after but I'll tell you anyway. Well, we adopted that beautiful boy and we named him Matteo. We loved him with every bit of our hearts and he makes us very happy every single day. We have watched him grow into an amazing and kind man. He likes eating pasta and broccoli, sometimes he enjoys eating gelato for breakfast even though he knows he needs to eat healthier and he hates doing homework but either way he ends up doing it. Matteo likes chocolate cake on his birthday and every year until he turned 12 he wished to get better skating skills.
Your father and I will always love you, son. I know it was hard to find out you are adopted and I hope you understand what we're trying to say. You are the best thing that happened to us and we couldn't be more happier to have you. We didn't expect your friends to tell you how you didn't look like us you thought you just looked like your father because you are italian but baby, you are our son. We were waiting to have this conversation until you were ready but since we got you we never thought you needed to tell you. However, we do hope you can forgive us for not letting you know. Matteo, we've loved you ever since you chose us. When we held you for the first time it was a like true joy got into our hearts. You are and you'll always be everything we want.
Your mother is right. We told you how we met because as you can see we've made a lot of mistakes and lived through an avalanch of events but our biggest and most wonderful adventure was meeting you. Nothing has ever stopped us from loving and appreciating you. We'll always be here for you, son. I know you're going through a rough patch and we'll wait all the time you need. You're probably at some party or taking classes because university is about having fun and preparing yourself to start living but whenever you have time to read this please give us a call or maybe even visit us. We miss you a lot.
