With the accepting of the startling awake of last night's storm, last night was the best rest I have gotten in a very long time. I stretch my arms as if trying to break through the ceiling and touch the clouds. I rub the sleep from my eyes and get up, my blanket falling to the ground. The daycare is yet to open and I look at the quiet qroom. It's eery how creepy a room for kids such as myself can get. I look at the counter where kids got snacks from yesterday and notice a fridge. I make my way, dragging my tired body, and open the door as cold air escapes, hitting my face and waking my body with a chill. A shiver runs down my spine as I grab some orange juice, quickly closing the door. I see Sundrop walling over and I sit down at the table, poking my straw through the cardboard box and sipping the juice. "Goodmorning Y/n! Moondrop told me you had some trouble sleeping last night, is everything okay?" I nod and smile, putting my juice box down. "Yeah, the storm woke me up but Moony helped me get back to bed!" He pats my head, nodding as he set up some snacks for later in the day. "That's wonderful. Moondrop also told me yesterday it seemed like it hurt when he grabbed your wrist however, he said he didn't grab you hard, he just wanted to give you all a spook." I go quiet again, just like I did the previous night. "We don't have to talk about it if you don't want too, however can I see your wrist? If your hurt you should go see Nurse Aimy." He kneels down next to me, holding one of his hands out. Reluctantly I place my hand in his and he rolls my sleeve up. The bruise mother gave me has gotten darker than when I last looked over it and it covers more surface area. There are old scars and some cuts from broken glass that was thrown, my hand scratched from the pieces I picked up. "Y/n, who did this to you? Was it your parents?" He stands up, not letting my hand go, and I nod. He picks me up and leaves the daycare, bringing me to the recovery room. "Ms. Aimy?" A women comes from around the corner, q soft smile on her face as she replies quietly. "Ah Sundrop, what can I help you with?" He places me down and I hide behind his leg, peering around it as they converse. "Poor kiddo was left here qnd has some cuts and bruises, can you fix them up?" The nurse nods and she bends down, a warm look replacing her soft smile. "Hello little one..! My name is Nurse Aimy, and I'll be helping you today! Can you tell me your name?" I look up at Sundrop who gives an encouraging head nod as I walk out from behind his legs, fiddling with my fingers. "Y/n..." She smiles and stands up, gesturing for Sundrop to wait outside. "Well Y/n, if you could take a seat on the table I can get started!" Sundrop leaves and I watch, once the door closes I climb up onto the table. She takes my wrist and checks over the bruise, humming. "Do you have any other marks that may need to be cared for? I won't ask you too many question, however if there's something more you need help with I will gladly do so." I think for a minute for cautiously nodding. "Can you show me?" I Humm anxiously before lifting my shirt above my hip, showing a relatively new slash along my side. "Mommy and Daddy say I ruined their marriage.. They don't like me much." The nurse frowns, nodding and heading over to a cabinet. "Okay, well I'll get you cleaned up and wrap your side, okay? Just to get rid of the dried blood and all the gunk that may have gotten trapped in. You'll need some medicine to make sure your insides are healthy, alright?" I nod and as she goes in cleaning up the wound, picking out rocks and clumps of dirt that turned to mud after mixing with the blood sand had dried in the cut starts to bleed again and hurt more than it did before. I flinch and push her and the tools aside. "No..! No more, it hurts..!" She sighs and puts her tools down. "We can take a break if you need too but we'll have to keep going later. It's very dirty and needs proper care kiddo." I shake my head and start to cry, jumping off the table. "No! I don't want your help! It felt just fine until you started poking it!!" She sighs and sits in her rolly chair, sliding over and picking me up, carefully so she doesn't disturb the mark. "I know, I know, but it needs to be done... You know how when people get sick, qnd they start to throw up? They don't want to do that but to get better they need to, otherwise they'll have to swallow it and they'll keep getting sick. Sometimes they even need to go to the doctors to get medicine, just like you!" She boops my nose and tries to make the last bit light hearted. I look to the side and huff. "Fine... A break then we can keep going.. But I want Sunny..!" She looks over at the clock and nods, smiling. "I think we can manage that." I cross my arms and nod, jumping down. "Good." She laughs a little and I loosen my arms, smiling. She gets up and calls Sundrop back in. He looks down at me and sits in the chair Aimy was in, sliding next to the table. I crawl back up and even though it hurts I let Mrs. Aimy finish cleaning the wound. She puts on some cream she called 'antibiotics' saying it was the medicine I needed and she wraps my side, wrapping my stomach in the process.

When we get back to the daycare Sundrop finishes some last minute fixes and opens the daycare doors. Kids flood in, bouncing and giggling, their morning energy causing them to be a little rough with one another. Before I can get caught in the mix Sundrop lifts me up and over his head, placing me on his shoulders. I hold on, smiling and giggling as the other kids rough house. Sundrop set up some plans and activities for everyone, including breakfast, movie time, a break to play I'm the play center, lunch, back to the play center, then q group activity where we all sqt down and made little puppets. I tried to make Moondrop and Sundrop, split right down the center, Sundrop on the right and Moondrop on the left, just like how their face is! When we finish the day is over and all the other kids have left with their parents.

As I'm getting ready for bed in the daycare again Sundrop sits down next to me. "Y/n, I understand it's hard to talk about this, but I need to know who hurt you. Just a name, I don't need details on what they did, what happened, or why they did it, just something." There's a seriousness left in his tone and it's almost like he already knows. I frown and crawl under my bla keys. "I don't wanna talk about it..." He scoots closer and sits me up. "Y/n, I need confirmation." I start to cry and try to push him away but the attempts are for nothing. "Fine...! Mommy and Daddy had a red drink... They called it whine... It was the day before they dropped me off here. Mommy held me down while Daddy grabbed a butchers knife... He-..." Sundrop cuts me off there and shushes me, hugging me tight. "That's all I needed Y/n. It's okay, no one will hurt you anynore.." He gets up, still holding me, and turns off the light. The colors drain and fade into blues, purples, blacks, and whites qnd Moondrop looks down at me, patting my head. "I'm sorry Starshine. No kid should have to go through that." He brings me over to the bean bags and sets me down gently. He sits with me and just watches out the window. Eventually, I yawn and sleep consumes me as it all fades to black.
