Heyo, so uhm, I recently got a job, so I'll probably resort to posting as a cooking mechanism since I can't do my other hobbies as they are daytime hobbies so expect some over float of posts, some probably being a lot of angst or things going wrong such as this story.
When I wake up, it's not because it's morning, or Sun woke me, it's still Dark out and I can hear plates and cups from down in the daycare hitting the ground, some breaking, others just falling. Confused and still sleepy, I get up, rubbing my eyes as I walk down to the daycare. Almost immediately there is a bowl thrown in my direction and I duck from the dish, looking straight for the source. Sundrop is perched on the counter, however something's not right, beyond the fact he just threw a bowl at my head. "Papa..? What's going on- What time is it." I take a couple steps forward but I don't get to close, now a bit weary of the situation. He doesn't answer the question, he just continues to stare at me. Taking in the surrounding I notice his eyes aren't yellow like usual, but instead red. Not Moondrop's eye color, but more of a crimson red. As I notice the color change, he grabs another bowl, sparks flying off of where he's suppose to be welded together, and he jerks, turning and throwing the sphere at me once again. I run out of the daycare and go straight to the backstage where the others are. Banging on aunt Roxy's door, I watch the employee's door for Sun or Moon. The door creaks open after a while and I run in, slamming it behind me. "Hey whoa- What're you doing kid? It's almost 2 in the morning. I still need to charge for the show later." Crying, I hug her leg and she looks at me, confused, but bends down and hugs me. "Hey, hey, it's okay. What happened? Did you have a nightmare?" I shake my head no, struggling to breath. "Alright, can you take a couple deep breathes for me? So you can tell me what did happen." I nod, stopping and focusing on my lungs as I put a rhythm to my action. "Good, now what's wrong? Where's Sun?" I look down, feeling slightly guilty. "Sundrop was throwing the plates and cups on the ground- the noise woke me up and when I went down to check what was going on he wasn't him.. His eyes were red! And not like Pop's eyes. It looked like blood. And he was throwing bowls at me! When I left he went to throw the 2nd bowl and his shoulders and knees sparked.." Roxy gets up, patting my head and sighing. "Remember yesterday, when I said we had to leave Sunny alone? That's because if we don't let animatronics rest in parts and service, they malfunction... And that seems to be what's happening to Sundrop.. I'm gonna get Monty and Freddy to sit with you incase Sundrop's looking for you and not in the daycare, then I'm gonna find him and bring him to parts and service. You'll stay with one of us for the night okay?" I nod and she sets me on a couch, handing me one of her plushies and a blanket. I wrapped myself up and held the toy to my body, watching as she leaves. It feels like hours before she comes back, and when she does Grandpa is in tow, Uncle Freddy sitting next to me trying to comfort me, and she immediately leaves, closing the door behind her. "Superstar! Roxy told us what happened. You okay?" I nod and hug my knees, the stuffed animal between them and my body. Look at him, slightly worried. "Is Papa gonna be okay...?" Freddy nods, with his usual smile. "Of course he will be. Parts and Services takes care of us!" I nod and yawn, laying against him and fall asleep again.
Waking up for a second time everything feels like a fever dream, but I'm assured it's not when I'm still in Roxy's room. Sitting up, my eyes sore, I drop the blanket and put the plushie next to me, looking around for the others. I look at the door and before I decide to leave I see a note. 'Sundrop's in Parts and Services, however when I found him I ended up calling the others so the entire plaza is on emergency lockdown, closed to the public. We're all in with Sundrop besides Chica, if you wanna visit you can. We just have a few scratches and dents.' Dropping the sticky note I run to Chicas room and start to pound the wood with my fist. Chica opens the door, worried, but sighs when she sees me. "Hi Y/N.." It's obvious she already knows what I want but I don't take note of this and proceed to ask anyways. "Sissy! We gotta go to parts and services- please!!" She nods and picks me up, carrying me to the backrooms. "Remember, we can't wake them if they're not up. Meaning we check the windows before entering. And we most certainly won't be checking on Sundrop. He's a more dangerous case." I nod and she puts me down, holding my hand as we walk into the main room and head down the Parts and Service hall of rooms. The only two awake are Roxy and Freddy, so we go in and sit with them. "Hey kiddo! You feeling okay?" I nod and hug them each for a while before sitting across from Chica who sat down when we entered. "Are you guys okay?" They both od and take out some cards. "Just bored. Wanna play Go Fish?" I shrug and nod. Others slowly trickle in over the next couple hours, however by the end of the 3rd game, Papa comes in..
"Sundrop?? Shouldn't you still be getting work done?" Papa just shakes his head, his verbal answer being very quiet. "They finished early.." He sits down by the door, and they offer to deal him a hand, but he shakes his head no. We play one last game in silence, all of us sharing worried glances, not really paying mind to the cards. The game ends quickly and everyone returns to their rooms. I stay seated and look a Sundrop who hasn't moved and is still beside the door. I scoot a little closer before stopping and seeing his reaction. I continue this until I'm next to him. "Papa..?" He seems to twinge at my choice of wording so I think it through before speaking again. "Are you okay Sunny..?" He nods and gets up, opening the door and stopping. "I'm gonna go back to the daycare.. If you don't mind hanging with the others for an hour I could use some time to myself.." I go to retaliate but instead hum in agreeance and follow him out, going our separate ways once we reach the plaza. I don't go straight to back stage, I go to the bathroom first, where I lock myself in a stall and contemplate for half an hour, crying here and there. Thoughts such as 'Should I have just called him Papa instead of Sunny..?', 'Would everyone else be so tense if I just listened?', and 'Is everyone mad..?' run through my head during that time. When I'm done I exit the stall and wash my face, heading backstage to the others. Everyone's room door is open and they all are hanging outside behind the curtains. They wave me over and sit me down on a bench. Monty starts after a minute or two as no one else wants to. "Look kid- Sundrop said you don't have a great past with chain reactions-" Roxy quickly interrupts to make a point. "He didn't go into detail, however he did say you have a tendency to be blamed for these kinds of ordeals." Monty scowls at her before looking back over. "As I was saying, he wanted us to make sure you knew none of this was your fault. And he's not bad at you, at all. More so at himself for possibly scaring you." I nod and Monty pats my head, smiling. "Good. Now, we got 25 minutes left, watcha wanna do?" I smile, giggling. "Instruments!"
They spend the rest of the time teaching me the basics about everyone's instruments before Sundrop comes by, seemingly much more happy and picks me up. "Thanks for watching them." The others nod, smiling. Monty replies as everyone else cleans up. "Course Sunister. Anytime you need a break just let us know." He nods and heads back to daycare, setting me down on a bean bag chair. "Sunshine, I'm gonna start with simple questions, okay? If you wanna skip you can, but I just wanna make sure you're okay." I nod and look at him. "Okay.. First and foremost; are you hurt?" I shake my head no and immediately there's a sigh of relief. "Oh thank god...Okay.. You know it wasn't your fault, right? You know I knew I should've stayed in Parts and Services?" I nod and he smiles, patting my head. "Did I scare you..?" I pause to think whether or not lying is a good idea or not and he puts a hand on my shoulder. "I'm serous Sunshine, if you're uncomfy, you can skip." I nod and he nods as well, bringing his hand back down. "This one is more so because I feel bad but- When you called me Papa then Sunny, did you think I was cold shouldering you?" I nod, choking on tears as I try, and fail, to keep them down. He nods, picking me up and hugging me. "Thought so.. Hey, it's okay alright? We can talk more about this tomorrow.. It's clear we both have had a rough day and need rest.." I nod and as he brings me up stairs to his room he switches to Moondrop who any hugs me closer. When he sets me down on the couch I notice his charging station is at the head side of the couch. I smile and he tucks me in, crouching at the edge. "You okay..? Need water..?" I shake my head, pulling the plushies of them I forgot earlier over to cuddle with. "No I'm okay. Thank you Pops.." He nods and stands in the charging station but waits to activate it until I drift off into sleep.
HAHA HOW'S THAT FOR YOUR FEELIES? I'm sorry if it's not the best but I felt like a nice, long, bittersweet chapter was in order! I love you all and thanks again for all the love! Stay safe love you<3
