Chapter 14: Rise and Fall of L'manberg (Finale)

  You head back to base after a while and find Niki, Quackity and Funday have joined the side of Pogtopia. You greet them and they awkwardly greet back as you all were enemies at one point. You are glad to see more people joining your side and Schlatt is losing his support. You stick by Techno and Wilbur's sides most of the time as you get ready for the final battle. You hear from Wilbur that Eret plans to join the revolution and is giving their throne. You nod along while thinking that Dream would not like his decision.

  Dream messages you to meet him at your house and that he has something important to tell you. You agree but are confused as to what he could want to tell you. You head to your house and open the door to see Dream already inside. You greet him and tell him to sit down while you brew some tea. He sits down and watches as you brew the both of you some tea. After you pour the tea, he starts talking to you about what he wanted to tell you.

  'Y/N, I regret to inform you that there is a change of plan.' You look up at him in confusion. He proceeds to explain,' Schlatt has given me an offer I can't refuse so I will be fighting alongside him. I am sorry that I didn't tell you.' You smile in understanding and tell him that you believe he probably has a good reason for what he is doing. He seems glad and relieved that you didn't pry on what the offer is. You know the offer is something very important so you will wait for him to be ready to tell you.

Timeskip

  It is November 16th, the day of the revolution. You get ready along with everyone else. When Tommy asks if there are any resources that they still have but haven't been brought to light yet, Techno steps up to say that he does. He then brings everyone to his secret base that you already know of as it is where you two went after the fight of the pit. Techno flips a hidden lever and an entrance open up on the floor. He leads all of you down to the vault where he keeps a lot of equipment and resources. You are proud as you have helped gather those things and grinded for days just to get your hands on them. 

  You already have your fully enchanted netherite armor with protection IV, mending, unbreaking III, thorns III, depth strider III, and feather falling. You grinded for this god-tier armor with Techno for days so you are not getting the armor in the vault. You take some fireworks, food, the potions that you helped make, and TNT. The others didn't think as thoroughly as you and just rummage through all the chests. You stay at the side of Techno after getting what you need.

  You all arrive at the foot of the tower where Karl and Dream's mercenary is shooting at you from atop. You raise your shield and block the arrows raining down. All of you, including the Badlands who joined you for some reason, start storming the tower. Techno grabs you and tridents upward. You bring out your rocket launcher and shoot down the people of Manberg who is Karl because he is the only one on Schlatt's side. Wilbur gets hit by a stray arrow from Karl and screams out. Techno quickly passes him some golden apples and puts down an ender chest. 

  From the ender chest, he pulls out another rocket launcher and throws it at Tubbo. You are a little sad you are not special anymore but shrug it off. Techno then MLG water bucket onto the ground and murders Karl. You did the same and start murdering the enemies. You raise your ax aiming at Punz's head but he dodges. The blade of the ax is buried into his shoulder and he screams in agony. Blood spews out of his wound and taints the ground, the ax, and your armor red. You smile in satisfaction as you pull your ax out of his wound. Punz pulls out a golden apple and eats it without hesitation. 

  Dream in invisibility potion attacks Techno and the rest. After a while, he says he wants to talk. Your ax now points to the ground. You lean on the ax handle and wait for what Dream has to say. Then Techno makes the shocking discovery that Schlatt is nowhere to be found. You look around trying to find even a trace of him. Dream speaking snaps your attention back to him. He says that he is surrendering and he has something to show us. He leads us to the van where it all started.

  You see Schlatt, a shell of a man he once was, lying on the ground with a bottle in hand. The smell of alcohol overwhelms your senses when you approach him. You frown and decide to stay next to Techno just in case something happens. Wilbur questions Schlatt but is ignored. Schlatt calls out to Fundy in a drunken manner and rambles about something. Wilbur impatiently tells Tommy to kill Schlatt. 'Ya know if I die this country goes down with me,' Schlatt says while wobbling a bit and waving his arm around. 

  'Has everybody turned on me, in my time of need everyone turned on me.' You ignore his drunken speech and start spacing out until... Schlatt starts coughing and is starting to have what seems to be a stroke. He dies clutching his chest suddenly. It all ended so anticlimactically that none of you even have time to think about what just happened. Everyone starts to celebrate their victory while still in confusion. We all walk to the podium to hear what Wilbur, Tommy, and Tubbo have to say. First Wilbur passes the position of president to Tommy, who then passed to Tubbo. Tubbo accepting the position starts his speech.

  You notice that they seem to be actually making an entire government once more. Techno is boiling in rage from what you can see and he pulls out his crossbow. You stick by Techno's side during his rampage and notice that Wilbur has disappeared but you ignore it thinking that he probably is going to press the button. You stand beside Techno with your sword out ready to protect him from the traitors to your friend. 'I did not spend weeks planning this revolution, given you guys gears for you guys to go in and replace one tyrant with another. Don't you see what's happening here, don't you see history repeating itself?' Techno monologues while gesturing wildly in anger. 

  Techno's speech falls on deaf ears as those people started fighting. You follow close to Techno and hit away those who come close to him. You hear people shouting for Wilbur but he is nowhere near. You think Philza who has joined amid chaos must be with him. A chain of explosions is heard and you assume that Wilbur pressed the button. Dream lets out a burst of maniacal laughter and the people of L'manberg screams in despair and disbelief. Techno takes out the wither skulls and soulsand without anyone but you noticing. Techno looks up to you and you give him a determined nod.

  Wilbur has been killed by Philza and the people are even more shocked. You and Techno move to a nearby space to set up the withers. You break the torches on the ground to not hinder the withers spawning. Techno tells Tommy of the legend of Theseus and asks him if he wants to be a hero. While listening attentively, you look around to check if the withers are ready to be spawned. Techno finishes and puts down the wither skulls. He names the wither and all is falling down. TNT is placed as Techno runs around. You kill your past comrades as they try to run past you. 

  The war is finished with Techno mocking the enemies. You manage to follow Techno to the very end of the war. You decide to follow wherever Techno decides to go and then transfer all your properties there as Dream is homeless and Wilbur is dead. From then on out, it is a new chapter for you and everyone on the server. You mourn the death of Wilbur but what has happened can't be changed or at least that's what you thought.
