Today was perfect.

We planned to have our wedding in the summer and since we needed some time to plan we decided to have it in late August.
Clay and I made the decision to build our own house and so they started working in January meaning our house would be ready by September.
Life was going perfectly. I found a venue for our wedding and started to plan out the decorations. Annika and Alley would be my bridesmaids and Livvy would be my maid of honor. Clay decided to have George be his best man and Nick and Kaleb would be the groomsmen. George would also be the ring bearer.
We invited all of our friends and family including Alex and all of our online friends as well. I wanted the girls to wear sage green dresses and have a pop of baby pink in the mix as well. The ties the groomsmen would wear would be green and Clay's would be black.
I found my dress and shoes but I wanted to go alone. Yes, I know most girls choose to cherish a moment like picking out a wedding dress with their mom or sister or best friend but I didn't want anyone to see my dress so everyone would be surprised.
My bouquet had white and baby pink flowers with sage green leaves.
As the months passed by Clay would check up on the house every so often but wouldn't let me see because he wanted it to be a surprise.
We planned the layout of our house but he wouldn't show me the final look until it was completely finished.
As he dealt with that, I continued working on the wedding plans.
We had professional photos taken so I could make a save the date card. We sent those out and we were counting down the months.
January went to March and then to June.
I was so excited and I told Clay we needed to start writing vows and one night he came out of his office crying after reading back what he wrote. I could tell this was a big thing for him and it made my heart full.
I put names at tables where people would eat and even planned the look of our wedding cake.
I got us a book where people could take polaroid pictures of them and tape them in the book writing us a sweet message.
Soon June turned into July and July turned into August.
We only had a few weeks left and I was so excited.
I finished up the last few things and we were finally already. The house was finished and getting furnished so they said we could move in by our wedding day.

By now there was only a week left and so we decided to have a rehearsal dinner.
The dinner went by smooth and with three days left we each had our bachelor parties. We both got limos and hung out with our friends and soon came the day where I was going to marry Clay.
Things were getting serious now and I was so excited.
I arranged the ceremony to be outside and it wasn't rainy and it wasn't too hot. It was perfect.
We would be standing on a platform that was right under a magnolia tree. Just like how it was when we were kids and when he proposed this would be the exact same.
I went to bed with a big smile on my face because tomorrow would be the best day of my life.
I was so ready for tomorrow.
