"mm.. good morning," nini greeted the boy. he went for a quick kiss before she threw an apron at his face, "we're at work, bowen."
"makes it even more exciting then," ricky simply said before pulling nini in for a quick kiss. the girl gave in and smiled into the kiss before she heard the diner be doors ring.
"oh god, you guys are dating now?" the couple heard zach call out. they let out a chuckle and quickly let go. ricky threw his apron around his body and grabbed a broom.
"miraculously, yeah," ricky simply answered. nini blushed but rolled her eyes.
zach rolled his eyes but chuckled, "you love birds better stop flirting before i fire the both of you." ricky and nini glanced at each other and let out a small giggle.
"um, we're still on for after work, right?" ricky asked, "i still gotta ask you something."
nini nodded her head, "yeah, of course."
ricky nodded his head. they have each other a fist bump, preparing for their eight hour shift. the power couple headed off to work, working in perfect sync as usual. zach smiled to himself as he watch the two of them dance in circles, attending to every table perfectly.
"hey lover boy! mind taking care of table eight?" zach called out as ricky passed by him, holding a tray of drinks.
"yeah sure," ricky simply said.
"want me to take care of those drinks?" the girl asked. ricky nodded his head and gave her a sweet smile.
"thank you, table one," ricky told the girl, handing her the tray of drinks. nini nodded her head and walked off. ricky ran towards table eight, his eyes stuck on his notepad.
"alrighty, what can i get started for you guys?" the boy asked. he looked up and saw jack's group. ricky rolled his eyes and put his notepad down, "seriously?"
"sup diner boy," jack greeted in a snarky voice, "funny seeing you here."
"you knew nini and i worked here," ricky spat back, "what the hell do you want?"
jack looked past ricky and eyed nini. the girl was on the other side of the diner, serving out food to table three. ricky looked at what jack was eyeing and felt anger for through his body.
"she's not on the menu," ricky said in a stern voice.
"hm, you guys don't have a secret menu i could order from or—"
"should i remind you about what happened last time you pissed me off?" ricky asked, clenching his jaw. jack glanced at howie and antoine who only glanced at the table. ricky smirked to himself. he liked making jack embarrassed, it was his speciality.
"whatever bowen," jack simply said, "i lost my appetite, let's go."
ricky moved to the side and watched as jack, howie, and antoine got up from the booth and left the diner. ricky smiled to himself and walked back to the counter with a proud smile.
"was that jack?" nini asked. ricky nodded his head. the girl rolled her eyes and sighed, "what did he want?"
ricky looked at nini. he shook his head and forced a smile at her, "nothing, they were just trying to annoy me."
"hm, don't let it get to you bubs," nini said, nudging her boyfriend in the side with a reassuring smile. ricky nodded his head and let out a sigh.
"since it's slow right now, can one of you take out the trash?" zach asked. nini nodded her head but ricky stopped the girl.
"i got it," he told her. nini let out a soft smile but nodded her head, stepping to the side.
