As the sun passes overhead, the four cats continue to walk along the border, stopping as Lightleap points out landmarks.

After stopping to mark a tree, you feel a shiver go down your spine. You stop walking and look around, quietly sliding out your claws, but there's no one.

"Y/n, are you alright?" Lightleap asks, staring at you with a confused look.

Sheathing your claws, you turn back around and put on a cheery face. "Yep!"

As you continue to walk along the path, you still get the sensation that you're being watched. After seeing you glance over your shoulder a few times, Lightleap announces that they're going to stop to rest for a moment.

With a sigh of relief, Mosspaw rolls onto her back to get the weight off her paws. You sit down on the dirt, glancing around.

When you're not paying attention, Lightleap looks over at Jaggedfang then back at you, gesturing for you to go over.

Sighing under his breath, Jaggedfang walks over and sits down next to you. "What's going on?"

His unexpected question catches you off guard and you just stare at him for a moment. "I--Uh..."

A moment of silence passes. As the odd shudder returns, you look around wildly, looking for eyes peering at you through a bush, but there's still nothing.

"Ignore the feeling," Jaggedfang whispers, so quiet not even Mosspaw can hear him.

You look up at your mentor in shock. "What?"

Jaggedfang flicks his tail in dismissal. "I'll explain later." Then he stands up and pads over to Lightleap. "I think we're ready to go."

With another sigh, Mosspaw rolls back over onto her paws. Lightleap guides Mosspaw while Jaggedfang leads the way.

The trees get thicker as you get closer to camp, all the sunlight being filtered through a canopy of leaves. A squirrel darts away as the group approaches.

"Maybe it was just squirrels," you mutter to yourself.

"What?" Mosspaw asks.

Shaking your head, then realizing she can't see that, you say, "Nothing."

"I smell prey," Mosspaw meows.

Lightleap purrs. "You have a good sense of smell! We're almost to camp, and I bet the afternoon's hunting patrol has just returned."

Mosspaw's nose was right, the trees were interrupted by the camp.

As soon as you enter the hollow Jaggedfang heads off to go sit down by Lightingpaw and Sparkpaw who are sharing what looks like a half-eaten sparrow (at this point you've probably forgotten, Jaggedfang is their father).
