Chapter 1.
Kagekao had managed to sneak onto a flight headed to Japan. It was a long flight, but he managed to stay hidden throughout it. However, it was boring; so he did decide to have some fun towards the end of the flight.
After the plane had landed and the passengers were waiting to be let out, Kage had snuck up on two of the airline staff. He killed them silently, and then put their bloody bodies on the cart that held drinks and food. He then shoved the cart down the aisle, sending it rolling away with the bodies on it, spilling blood onto the floor as it sped by the passengers.
The passengers had panicked and started screaming and running around. Kage, satisfied with his work, made his way away from the scene and towards the cargo hold. People had already begun taking the bags out, so the door was open and he left.
It was late at night, so the area was dark and filled with shadows; perfect for a demon like Kage to stealthily get around.
Kage then made his way past the airport; climbing up to the roof of the building and then going over it. He stood atop the roof, looking out at the city. He was back in Japan.
Japan felt distant, yet familiar; and somehow he felt that he was home again. Yes, he could remember this city. It was the same one which he had woken up in, lived in, and met Kai in.
Kage looked out at the city lights, and then up at the stars. It was all familiar, and old memories came back to him; but none of them were from before he had woken up in that room. Gazing out at the city, he decided where he was going to head next.
Climbing down from the roof and then jumping onto another building's rooftop, Kage made his way away from the airport. He tried to remember landmarks and places like that, but could only remember a few of them.
However, even with some memories blurred, Kage managed to get to where he had wanted to go. He was now standing atop a building and looking towards another; it seemed dilapidated and old, but it was still standing. Kage was actually a bit surprised that it was still here, he would have expected people to have torn it down by now and replace it with something more new.
It was that building that he had woken up in with no memory; the building that he had called home for a couple of years.
The building that Kage was on was not close enough to jump to the dilapidated building, so he moved towards a closer one. From there, he jumped to the side of the dilapidated building and clung to the wall of it.
Kage climbed upward, passing by windows and looking into a few; the place was empty, and seemed to be falling apart in some areas.
At last, he made it to the top floor. The window there was cracked, and the frame was old and damaged; but Kage managed to open it. He looked inside; it was dark, but so familiar.
Crawling inside, Kage looked around cautiously, careful to make sure if there was anyone there or not. There appeared to be no one, so Kage stood up and looked around.
The place seemed the same, for the most part. There were still discarded items around the room along with boxes and crates; but there were less of them, and the ones there seemed useless.
Kage had hoped that this place would jog his memory, and maybe a forgotten one would appear; but none did. The only memories that came back were ones of when he had lived here. However, it was late, and he was tired. This room seemed safe, so Kage decided to spend the night in it.

Kage awoke to see sunlight pouring through the cracked window. He got up and yawned, and then got ready to leave again.
Climbing out the window, Kage went up to the roof of the building. Atop the roof, he looked out at the city to see where to go next. He spotted where he wanted to search next; the park.
The park was a good place to start; it was easy to search and had places to hide. However, Kage could remember that the park was also a place where Scollex stayed a lot. Although he couldn't remember if Scollex was there a lot during the day, as he was mostly a night hunter.
Still, with this being in mind, Kage decided to go there. If he found Scollex, he was prepared. He had grown a lot stronger since the time they had last seen each other, it would be an easier fight.
Kage left that building and onto another, moving towards the park.

The park seemed to have changed only a little; there were a few new things here and there, but there were also things that had stayed the same. Because it was daylight, Kage had to be more careful of who saw him.
Sneaking around behind trees and buildings, Kage looked around for anything that might help. He was hoping to see a demon or shinigami who could help him or point him in the right direction. He saw no one unusual, and certainly no demon or shinigami.
Kage perched high up in a tree and looked around the area. He still didn't see anyone or anything strange, and nothing that could help him.
He stayed in the park for a couple of hours, searching around. Finally, as it was getting darker, Kage decided to leave and come back another time. He exited the park and began to make his way to the dilapidated building.
On his way, Kage moved along the rooftops of buildings so he could get a view of the streets. He moved silently so no one would hear him, and so it would be harder for people to notice.
Moving along, something made him stop and crouch down to hide in the shadows; he saw someone over on a building a little ways away, they weren't human. Kage moved through the shadows towards the person. Could it be? Someone who could help him, or better yet, someone from his past?
Now closer, but not too close, to the other person, Kage watched, trying to think of how to approach.
This other person appeared to be a demon. He was alone, and seemed to be watching someone down below. He was dressed in mostly black with a little red; and a black and red mask was halfway up his face, exposing his sharp teeth which were bared.
He was also carrying a weapon; a long black staff that had two thin blades at one end. Kage also noticed that he had sharp claws. He was crouched down at the edge of the roof and was looking over onto the sidewalk. Kage could see a human down there, and assumed that this demon was stalking their prey.
Suddenly the demon jumped down into the alleyway next to the building they were on. He landed on the ground and hissed. The human he had been stalking heard the noise, and turned his head. Before he could react, the demon threw the bladed staff forward, where it pierced the human in the arm. The demon pulled the staff back, pulling the human into the alley. He then grabbed the human's arm and took the blades out, and then sunk his claws into the screaming man's throat.
The human was soon dead, and the demon pulled his claws out of his neck.
Kage, intrigued, had climbed down from the roof to the wall of the alley, and watched. He was now clinging to the side of the wall and was concealed by shadow.
The demon had not noticed him, and seemed to be studying the body of the dead human. Kage watched, not knowing how to approach.
Kage was a bit anxious, but waited for the demon to finish whatever he was doing.
