I'm not satisfied with my exam scores, but I know to myself that I did my best. Matataas naman and ako lagi ang highest pero—hays.
I still need to act excited para hindi ako magmukhang disappointed.
See?
This is the hardest part of being an honor student.
Sanay na ang parents mo sa achievements mo kaya wala na 'yung thrill. Wala na 'yung excitement.
Sinanay mo silang palagi kang mataas, that's why when you make a difference sa scores mo lately, they will be upset.
Hays, kausapin ko na lang si Aze para 'yung lungkot ko ay mawala.
Para 'yung lungkot ko ay mapalitan ng inis. At least mas comfortable ako 'pag naiinis ako kaysa malungkot.
Wow, uppercase. Excited?
Notice how different Aze and my parents are. Of course, ngayon ko lang naman sinabihan ng scores ko si Aze. It's completely normal for him to react like that.
But still, for the first time again, I was given importance to, I feel valued. I feel proud of myself again because he made me to.
Gan'to pala feeling ng may kaibigan?
Natawa ako sa tanong niya. And that time, I felt better.
I'm not satisfied with my scores as well as my parents. And because of what he said, I realized that it's okay to get a score that doesn't satisfy you kahit na ginawa mo 'yung best mo. Basta may taong proud sa kung ano mang maachieve mo, ayos na and your disappointed will fade somehow.
I got those scores for myself, not for my parents. And from now on, hindi ko na hahayaang mapressure ako dahil sa kanila...
dahil nandiyan na si Aze.
If this is the feeling of having a friend, then I like it.
To be continued...
