Jason

The first time I actually noticed her was on one of the days that I went to see my brother at the Hospital.

She was running down the hallways with a little girl and I thought she was pretty.

The second time I saw her at the hospital, she was gossiping with some nurses at the front desk and I found myself smiling whenever she laughed.

I wondered why she was there.

She seemed comfortable with the nurses and quite known so I assumed she was a regular there and that piqued my curiosity the more, that’s why when I heard that she had been discharged when I last visited, I was kind of disappointed but also glad that she was fine now.

Honestly, I thought I wouldn’t see her again and it was fine: My little crushes never go anywhere anyway so you can imagine my shock when I caught Mark’s tray and realised the person I had just saved was my crush from the hospital.

And then I stared too much and forgot I was holding the soda- but I’m not willing to admit that to her yet.

“Tyler watch out!! Shit!” Marks voice once again snapped me from my thoughts.

We were presently playing video games like we did every Saturday in my living room and I was losing than any other day.

“Dude are you even focusing?” He asked. No, I wasn’t. I haven’t been able to focus on anything all evening without Julie popping up in my head.

“He is probably still thinking about Lucy Kay” Bernard said coming from my kitchen with a bucket of ice cream.
“This stuff is good by the way”

“Dude, I checked up on her. She’s fine now. Just next time we’ll know not to throw her in water” Mark added. I gave him a glare placing my console down.

“Just next time don’t prank anyone. I took the fall for you guys this time but I’m not doing it again” I said getting off my seat. I have warned them several times to stop pranking but they never listen. Lucy’s was supposed to be a lesson yet I doubt any of them got that.

“Where are you going?” Jeremy asked when I took my car keys.

“Laundry” I paused by the door. "Oh and Mark, Julie says to tell you she hates you"
