(i bring you this; after a,, oh what is it, 11ish month no writing period?)

hunters are scary.

there's no denying it, i mean they're meant to chase you around and essentially kill you.

but it's not like they want to; it's not their fault is it?

everyone else you know preaches that hunters are cruel, sadistic people with no morals. but they had lives before this, just like all of you survivors.

i mean, what was stopping you from befriending the hunters?

a lot, apparently.

"wait..! i just wanna talk!" you were running as fast as you could from michiko, trying to reason with her.

"there's no time for talking!" michiko huffed, taking another swing at you.

"i promise that i won't do anything to you..! i just want to hear about your life before all of this!"

she stopped in her tracks, morphing back to her normal form.

her seemingly soulless black eyes stared at you, and there was a long period of quite awkward silence.

"you're just like me, you know. we're both people, and we both had something worth coming here for. so, what's your reason?"

michiko seemed speechless. "is.. is this some kind of new trick you survivors are pulling?" she was skeptical, used to being called rude names and being avoided.

"no! i promise. if you tell me about yourself, i'll tell you about me?" you smiled, fidgeting with your clothing. if this was where you were defeated, at least you tried.

"...alright."

you sat down at one of the red church benches, and michiko folded her fan and sat it down next to her.

"my husband.. he's gone. i came here thinking i would be able to find him."

"oh, that's awful.. they lied to us all, even you huh?" you sighed, looking down at your shoes.

"seems like it. i was tricked. what about you, f/n?"

you explained your reasons for coming to the manor, and she simply listened, occasionally nodding and making a comment.

your conversation went on for who knows how long.

"you have a pretty laugh, michiko."

"oh.. thank you. i don't really get that too much anymore, unfortunately."

"i feel so horrible.. people have this idea of you all that's completely wrong. they all think you're some kind of monsters, but that's clearly not true. you're just angry, angry like us." a sad smile came to your face.

"i suppose ive misunderstood you as well. i'm.. really glad we had this conversation. although, next time we meet, i may have to hurt you." she gestured to the nearby rocket chair with her head.

"that's alright. if i wanted anyone to have any chance of getting out of here, it would be you."

michiko hadn't heard such kind words in years.

"you're.. too kind. you don't deserve to be in a place like this."

"then let's get out together."

"together..?" michikos heart raced, she didn't know what to think. this feeling.. was completely unfamiliar.

"of course!"

you smiled at her, and got up from the bench. "i think i should get going now. i hope i see you again soon, michi! goodbye!"

"goodbye, f/n." she waved to you.

i don't understand.. why do i feel like this? why do i look forward to when i can see them again?

is this..

is this love?
