Thirteen

Jiu and Sua were drinking in the bar where the commotion was before, everyone was eyeing them secretly, fear visible in their gazes while the two were just relaxing as they drank.

"You know at some point; I feel like Y/N is taking in so much burden"

It was the first time Sua was actually very genuine in front of jiu or anyone to be exact which surprised Jiu yet she agrees.

"We all got therapy except her because she had to run the business both outside and inside legal matters. I was going to end it once and for all with our business now but for the first time and last time I saw a different Y/N something more frightful that our father"

"Y/N can't you see we run an illegal business ILLEGAL We have to shut it down before the police finds out or we will all be sentence to jail or even worst DEATH"

You pinned Jiu to the wall, your hand gripping on her neck as the veins in your hand and arm started to show.

It was close to killing Jiu, your breathing was unstable as you spoke in the most serious tone she has ever heard you speak.

"I will take over; you don't have to do anything but sit and study. Do what you always do, I'll make sure everything is perfect. No police or law to hunt us down, I won't lose another family member. Never again"

"I could clearly see the pain in her eyes and yet like the coward I am, I let her walk away. Sua, I wonder what if I comforted Y/N would things be different?"

Sua was lost in thought before drinking.

"I think at this point, it's Y/N's war within herself. It's no one's fault, we were all in a very bad place"

Jiu nods while drinking, taking a deep breath afterwards.

"When she asked me for advice earlier, I knew Gahyeon was getting to Y/N's heart and her heart is where everything is hidden even us her sisters couldn't reach it and the way she was frustrated earlier shows that Gahyeon is close to where her heart is. It's only a matter of time before we see who Lee Gahyeon truly is"

Sua and Jiu took their last shot before checking the time.

"Here we'll pay"

It was 8pm already which means they have to get back and even though the bartender offered to pay for the drinks. Jiu didn't bother as she placed the money on the counter.

"Keep the change"

They both then drive back to go meet Y/N.

"I also think Gahyeon is fake on some things but we won't know for sure until we see it with our own eyes"

You see Gahyeon enter the mansion walking towards your office so you close the folder with the recording and her information, hiding it inside your safe and closing it afterwards.

"You're early by around 30 mi- did you cry? What happened? Are you hurt? Did someone try to attack you?"

You stood up walking in front of her. She was about to look away when you gently cup Gahyeon's face to see if she got hurt.

"I hate you so much you know that, I hate you so fucking much Y/N L/N!!!"

Gahyeon starts to hit you yet you don't care. You thought you deserved it, you deserve every hit and you didn't have a single care about the gunshot wound that was bandaged until finally she just sobs, hiding her face on the crook of your neck feeling her tears on your skin.

You hesitantly placed your hands on her back not knowing how to comfort Gahyeon because you yourself were never comforted as far as you can remember.

"You almost kissed me, you never tried to hurt me, you saved me multiple times when I should be doing that, you risk your life, you treat me as if I'm someone special in your life then just tell me I'm hopeless and that you were using me because it's my goddamn job. I fucking hate you so much, you're such a horrible person. I hate you"

For the first time you couldn't smirk or smile and just say 'I told you so' instead you just hugged her, the guilt resurfacing.

If what Siyeon said was true then is this fake? No, it can't be fake. She cried just because of this.

Be the person, not the cigarette.

"Do you know how fucking hurt I am? Because I fell in love with someone who acts like she's not human when it comes to feelings"

You pull away looking at her in the face to see she was still crying.

"No matter how hard I try or how hard I work for it. I don't feel Gahyeon and I never w-"

Jiu and Sua just parked the car and were about to enter the mansion when Gahyeon leaned in kissing you on the lips.

And you swore at the time, it was as if you were paralyzed, with a huge pile of memories running through your head.

Gahyeon continues to kiss you as she flutters her eyes close and a few seconds after you finally processed it and kissed back.

A kiss that felt so different than any other, you felt no taste of betrayal. You just felt passionate as you pulled her closer to you deepening the kiss making Gahyeon release a surprised moan feeling your tongue roaming around hers and before you knew it you pulled away breathing heavily seeing Gahyeon's lips went from dry to wet.

As you both look at each other, you look so bewildered as if you've seen a ghost while Gahyeon looks at you with desperation in her eyes. The same gaze since the day she confessed her feelings.

"Yo Y/N we got here before 8:01 are you prou-"

Sua cuts herself off with all of them frozen in their spot.

You and Gahyeon both blushed looking away with you clearing your throat.

"Check if the trucks are loaded"

You try to gain back your composure until you see Jiu and Sua smirk, nodding their heads before closing the door.

"How dare you kiss me? Don't you know who the fuck you're dealing with Lee Gahyeon?"

You cornered Gahyeon, scaring the latter which made your eyes go from anger to gentle in a minute.

"Y-you always have to ruin everything!"

You punched the wall near her head before pulling away breathing heavily.

"You always have to be the fucking cause of a fucking problem"

All those painful words were in the heat of the moment but Gahyeon took it to heart as she ran out of your office before you could even react not noticing how tears were running down your eyes.
