A ship comes out of hyperspace and lands in an open field where Vandal and Savren are waiting

The ship touches down and another entourage of men come out

Vandal: Unbelievable, I report a force wielder and they bring in armed goons. Savren: What were you expecting, an inquisitor? You'd get the damn empire crawling all over the place and then what? Vandal: We need to make a counter strike now. Savren: What kind of a counter strike...

Azrael's camp

Azrael: We're at war facing a new enemy with an unknown number of resources. Where are we with their weapons? Checo: We're basically out of ammo, a few of them overheated. Azrael: And no one thought to pick up and collect from their dead? Checo: Apparently not. Azrael: And here I thought we were doing fine without Pacho. Checo: Speaking of, when are we making our second attempt? Azrael: Soon, but for now with Crimson Dawn on us we need to focus on destroying them.

Rikers Island, New York City, CA

Pacho Herrera is walking to a table during lunch when another inmate purposely bumps into him, making him drop his food

Vincent: Why don't you watch where you're going? Pacho: Why don't you?

Vincent and his group laugh

Pacho: Do you have any idea who you're messing with? Vincent: Yeah, some washed up drug lord who still thinks he's the shit.

Pacho lets out a small smile

Pacho:.... Be seeing you Vincent.

Pacho leaves

Inmate: How did he know your name? Vincent: Doesn't matter, not like he could do shit anyway.

Tijuana - Mexico

Vandal and Savren are flying over the city in a gunship

Vandal: Yes, this place should make a fine base of operations. Savren: What about the people here? Vandal: We let them stay, for now. Let's not bring to much attention to ourselves now.

Pentagon - Arlington, Virginia

John: Alejandro's out here wrecking havoc and starting wars in Mexico while we're here with our hands tied due to bloody politics! C.I.A Director: We can't just walk into Mexico without invading the whole freaking country John! John: Then send a few of us, a small strike force, off the books. C.I.A. Director: We can't risk it! Azrael isn't dumb, he'll expose us the minute he realizes who's attacking him. John: Trust me on this Tennant, in and out, just let me round up my boys. C.I.A. Director:..... Okay, take a small task force but if this blows up in our faces Cohen, you're on your own.

John gets Chris to gather up men

John: I managed to convince Tenant to take a small task force to Mexico to apprehend or kill Azrael but we're on our own on this one. Chris: Are you sure about this? John: The DeSantos Cartel has stirred up enough trouble.

John grabs an M4

John: It's time we put a stop to it.

On the Mexican news, riots are breaking out in the streets of Ciudad Juárez in response to cartel occupation

Lucas: If we want to make a move we need to do it now because that is only going to get worse. Santiago: We've been trying to track down DeSantos, he's all over the place. Lucas: The U.S. will have to get involved eventually, the riots are too close to the border to go unnoticed. Santiago: They'll only get involved if it crosses into U.S. soil and it's not going to be pretty.
