"Mama!"
The enormous dragon smiled at her wyren as Nova didn't hesitate to run over to her and jump onto her head, wrapping arms around the great wyrm. In response, Asterope sent warmth to where Nova laid as if she was still a baby wyren.
Nova sniffled and clung to her mama and excitedly ranted about how much she had missed her and was about to promise to finish her mission at light speed when Asterope reached her tail back and wrapped it around Novas waist, throwing her at the sand a little far away. Nova deadpanned and groaned against the sand, already expecting a lecture from her mama since shes been waiting a few years for it. She raised her head from the sand and narrowed her eyes at Dragon who smirked back smugly.
"Nova," She gulped as glowing blue eyes sunk to her level and stared at her own red ones. "You've been neglecting your power."
Face blanking in surprise as an imaginary dust bunny passed by her in the background. "Huh...?"
Asterope huffed and sat by her side, bringing her wyren into a hug as she spoke. Nova nuzzled herself against the great wyrm as a large unshakeable grin was plastered on her features. Her mama was here and there was absolutely no way that Nova was going to be leaving her unless she was forced to. The last time they'd seen each other without the dragon link was around six years ago and you can bet she was craving her mothers love and touch. Although the great wyrm seemed a little upset with her. "I trained you with your abilities for a reason. Tell me you can at least lift Smaug?"
"Of course,"Nova nodded. While she may have not used her powers against others she still made sure to practice using it every here and then, Pop's also always made sure she was training with it against Thatch during spars. Eventually she was strong enough with her devil fruit to lift Pops and the man was about the same height as Smaug and nearly the same weight. Assuming that since she could lift the yonko quite easily she could carry Smaug with little to no trouble as well. At least thats what shes hoping. "I can. It's just that I only use it when I have to."
