"Thanks again for coming."

The nurse said gratefully as she walked down the corridor followed by R5.

"No problem," Riker Lynch replied,

"We love to see people smile."

Behind him Rydel giggled and started humming the tune to Smile. Rocky grinned,

"So, who are we seeing next?" He asked. There was a short silence before the nurse replied

"There's a girl who came in yesterday night," She glanced at them quickly and continued

"Probably a few years younger than you, around fifteen or sixteen, she has a bullet wound in her side."

They continued walking down the corridor, after a few seconds of silence the nurse continued

"We don't know anything about her, just that she was found unconscious at the scene of a robbery at a jewellery store."

There was a short pause and then Ross asked

"Did she not have a phone on her?" The nurse shook her head as they stopped outside a small ward.

Quietly they entered, in the center of the ward there was a hospital bed, which was surrounded by empty visitor chairs. In the bed lay a young girl, her straight brown hair was spread over the pillow, her eyes were shut and her face was pale and lifeless.

"She's unconscious," the nurse explained. "We expect her to wake up soon,"

Agitatedly, the nurse checked her watch and quickly scanned the room, she sighed heavily and said,

"I need to go to the office to get something, if she wakes up give me a shout, i'm just going up the corridor." She glanced nervously at the five youngsters, "Yeah sure," Riker reassured her. The nurse smiled faintly and hurried out of the room.

                                                                                                               ***********

"Yeah sure," an unfamiliar voice said.

I open my eyes and scanned my surroundings, where was I? I blink a few times as it daunts me, I was in a hospital.

My mind races as I begin to remember the jewellery store, my necklace, the gunshot.I can't remember anything else.

Jace. Shit, he was going to kill me, I was in a hospital, that meant police...I had to get out of here. I try to get up but my side aches painfully. Damn it, injured and caught, I couldn't be in a worse situation.

I try again and manage to sit up. "She's awake, Rocky call the nurse." The same unfamiliar voice says. I look around me, there are four boys and a girl sitting in a group.

"Hey," One of them said, raising his hand. He had light brown hair which fell in front of his face in a fringe, his face was kind and welcoming and he wore a cheesy grin.

I glare at him and don't reply. I've never been a social person, my life has taught me to keep to myself, do what I need and avoid talking to people who have nothing to do with me.

Just then another boy walks in, he's tall and has long brown hair which fell in front of his face,

"The doctors coming," he informed. He smiled at me and then sat on one of the chairs.

Seconds after he sits down a doctor walks in, he's a tall man in his twenties. "Hi," he says as he walks over to me.

"Are you feeling okay?" He asks.

"I'm fine." I reply plainly.

"Thats good," he says "We carried out a minor surgery on your side yesterday night, it should be alright but you'll be staying here for two more days just to be sure."

I glance at the four boys and the girl which are seated to my right and then I glance at the doctor.

"Oh," he says "This is R5, their a pop/rock band, surely you've heard of them."

I look at them, their faces seemed vaguely familiar. I didn't listen to music, it was stupid, people die because their listening to music and walking at the same time.

I don't reply to his question, instead I ask "What are they doing here?"

The doctor smiles,

"Their going round all the wards, visiting young patients."

Theres a few seconds silence as the doctor notes some information down,

"Would you like to call your parents, we have to inform them that your here."

My parents, I hadn't even remembered them, I felt no guilt, why should I?

"Theres no point," I say.

Everyone in the room looks at me for an explanation.

"My mums on holiday god knows where and my dads dead." I say sharply.

"I'm sorry," One of them mumbles. I ignore the comment, I had to get rid of these five guys.

"Can I go for a walk?" I ask.

The doctor nods and says "Yes sure, erm your clothes are in the corner, theres a bathroom down the corridor, you have ten minutes."

I get of the bed, grab my clothes and leave the ward. I walk down the corridor with long fast steps, as if I owned the place. That's how I always have walked and always will walk. Its the only way you can earn respect.

Minutes later I've changed into my usual black clothes, as I walk back up the corridor I notice that the five teenagers are leaving the ward.

Good, everything was going like I planned. I tap my pocket,  my pocket knife is still there. I fasten my step, the doctor is about to leave the ward but I stop him, I stand in front of him and push him into the ward.

I close the curtain quickly and push him up against the wall, I take my knife out of my pocket and hold it up to his neck.

"Look Mr Doc," I say fiercely, "I'm going to leave, you will make sure no one tries to find me, if you fail, you can say goodbye to your career as a doctor."

I say with an evil smirk. I pocket my knife, leaving him against the wall trembling.

My job here was done.
