Kie and my brother went back and forth as JJ,Pope, and I all tried to hold it together. I mean what could I say to defend Kie, I just kissed THE Rafe Cameron, i'm just as screwed up as my brother.
"You let a kook in on our secrets?" Kie threw her hands up in frustration at him.
"Wait you told her?" I was taken back. I knew he was hanging out with her but not for letting her in on our secret.
"I-I was just using her for information." My brother defended.
If I know my brother then I know for sure he's not just "using her for information." When we were young and had school crushes he used to make up lies so I wouldn't tell our dad about a girl he was kissing at recess.
"Look you guys know me! Do I look like the type of person to fall for Sarah Cameron?" He laughed.
Pope looked up at him. "Uh...do you want us to answer that?"
For those of you who may not know, Kie and Sarah go way back. The two were practically inseparable when Kie was at her special kook academy school and then Sarah ended up turning on her and Kie's been pissed at her ever since.
"Her brother did hit me in the back of the head with a golf club." Pope defended Kie.
John B turned to Pope. "Rafe and Sarah are two different human beings. Come on Jo, please tell them she's different than Rafe."
I looked up shocked. "Uh..I um, I wouldn't know anything about Rafe." JJ eyed me once I decided to speak.
"Listen to me, whatever we get, she's gonna try to take." Kie warned us.
We left so we could head to the location to meet Sarah. I sat beside JJ in the van.
"Hey so, where did you go after the bathroom incident?" He whispered.
"Oh um, Rafe and Topper cornered me and tried to scare me but I showed Rafe who was really in charge of running things." I tried my hardest not to stutter and be confident in my words so he knew I wasn't lying.
"Atta girl. Way to stick it to the man." He laughed.
The van came to a stop and we started to make our way out. "Uh so I think i'm gonna do this one by myself...tonight." My brother nodded. Kie was very obviously pissed off.
"I just don't understand why were involving her at all." Kie stated her opinion. "Promise me nothings happening between you two."
