14th march 1520
I was wandering off to lady Mary Carrey (Boleyn's) room to see how she was doing as I hadn't seen her in some time. I knocked lightly upon her chamber door biting my lip as I was a little nervous to see her again. the door was sharply thrusted open and I entered the room with great hesitation. by the door stood sir William Carrey who looked rather annoyed and Mary laying on her bed still pasty and frail. she looked as white as a sheet, fragile and vulnerable all curled up in her bed. I looked at the tears rolling down her harsh white skin and turned to look at her husband briefly. he was bowing to me but when he raised himself I saw pure lethal anger all over his face. I quickly darted my eyes back to Mary who was looking away from me. I walked around her bed to see her peaky face which was drained of all colour and still in pain. I looked into her light hazel eyes which now appeared to no longer be as bright as they use to be and had no sparkle. I clasped my hands behind my back before I spoke
"How are you lady Mary" I cried and she looked up at me. she then subtly but steadily shook her head before opening her little mouth.
"I am fine, your majesty but I wouldn't be in this position if you hadn't hit me with a spell" Mary croakily muttered. my insincere smile gradually fell within seconds and was replaced with a face seething with anger just like William's.
"How dare you accuse me, of all people of doing such a thing" I cried out raising my voice pointing at Mary right in her face. her eyes followed my finger-wagging in front of her washed-out face.
"I only came here to see you and see if you were well but it seems you've lost the ability to hold your viper like tongue" I cried out with a hint of strain in my voice as I moved closer to her washed-out face.
"I know your secret now, you're a witch and if the king ever" she started with a lot more enthusiasm and curiosity.
"you will hold your tongue, you are speaking to the queen of England you know" he spat out interrupting his ailing wife. he then turned to look at me holding his tongue instead.
"you will ruin your family, and my family name if you dare utter such nonsense again you daft cunt" William spat out gripping Mary's bony wrists tightly. I watched the scene in utter silence in the distance as William raised his arm into air ready to strike Mary who began to shudder. but he lowered his hand, coward, he had not the heart or power to strike his sickly wife.
"Listen to your husband empty-head, as you and no one will ever speak to me in such a foul manner" I cried walking to the door but I stopped when I heard a voice, her voice.
"you can't stop me, henry loves me" Mary cried and I let out an overly dramatic laugh interrupting her.
"my lady Mary, he will tire of you and move on to the next just like that" I harshly spluttered turning to face the feeble waxen young lady. she did not respond but left her mouth gaping open ever so slightly her poisonous tongue lightly brushing her lips. her husband bowed towards me as I made to leave the room. I wander back to my own chamber where my ladies were all sat relaxing and chatting. lady Mary Devereux noticed the pain on my face and wore a sympathetic smile as she and the rest of my ladies rose. they bowed as I headed into my chamber and Mary followed sharply behind.
"your grace" she called as she walked into the room as I sat at the edge of my bed. Mary sat by my side
"do you believe it," I asked and she looked up at me
"believe what," she said as I remained facing away from Mary,
"that I am a witch, that is what Mary Boleyn believes and I imagine you do too," I said and she shook her head as I turned to face her.
