29th February 1513

I woke up in the early hours of 4 am, I tossed and turned trying to fall back into a slumber but failed. I then got out of my bed and headed out of my chamber into the empty castle hallways. I slowly walked through the chilly halls barefoot to henry's bed-chamber. I did not knock, but entered the room and shuffled into the bed

"Charles," he groggily asked

"Henry" I replied. he then wrapped his arms around me pulling me close to his chest kissing my forehead. he then fell back to sleep his lips still pressed against mine, I then began running my fingers through his hair. he then awakes from his light slumber

"so that's how we're playing," he said picking me up and placing me on top of him making me giggle. he flipped both of us round and all I could say is that it was a good last night before my husband went to war.

"henry" I yelled running towards my husband who was getting onto his horse. he turned to face me jumping off the horse opening his arms wide for me to jump. I launched myself into his arms as he spun me around he then placed me down, still holding me tightly to his warm strong body.

"good luck out there, stay safe," I said looking deeply into his eyes as he did the same

"I'll be safe, especially knowing you'll be here as Queen, regent," he said twirling my strand of hair exposed out of my bun.

"I love you, Henry," I said kissing his cheek still gazing into his eyes

"I love you too charlotte," he said kissing me passionately on the lips. his lips touching mine felt just like the first time we ever kissed, butterflies flew in my stomach and I felt just free, sexy and absolutely fabulously. He eventually let go of me, then climbed onto his horse and set off. when he headed out of sight, into the distance I headed back to the castle.

Beginning queen regent wasn't as easy as I thought, I knew it would be hard but it's harder than that. I've attended a few meetings with noblemen, jurymen, Wosley and Thomas more have been really helpful to me. I really missed henry but didn't have time to mope about and cry over my husband being away like he does for me.

"Queen Charles" lady Elizabeth yelled and I quickly stopped working, dropping my quill and turning to face her and my ladies.

"lady Elizabeth, I don't want you to call me that," I said then her goofy looking smile flipped the other way.

"but the king calls you that so does Charles Brandon, " she argued and Joan agreed. I rolled my eyes slightly

"because he is my husband and Brandon is my close friend, anyway, what is it you need," I said looking at all four ladies looking down at my tall piles of papers.

"well your majesty we wanted to know if we could do that little chat season again," Beatrix asked stepping in front of the two other ladies.

"I'm busy at the moment but we can later at some time in the throne room" I suggested and they nodded as I quickly speed off into the drawing-room. Charles Brandon entered shortly after sitting on the seat closest to me. I slowly lifted my eyes to look at Charles Brandon who wore a huge smile.

"what is it Charles," I asked as he moved behind me, wrapping his arms around me.

"enter Isabella" Charles cried out and lady Bryan entered the room carrying my dearest daughter.

"your majesty, your daughter is divine beauty, the prettiest rose I have seen with my own bare eyes," Catherine de Bretagne said. she handed me, my daughter before she wrapped her arms around me.
