[Y/n leaves before he could finish. Once she's far enough away, Hiccup starts cheering]

[Toothless growls at Y/n but Hiccup stands in between them]

It's okay buddy. She's a friend, she's not going to hurt you.
[He looks back at Y/n and holds his hand out. She looks at it and holds his hesitantly. Hiccup slowly guides her hand to Toothless, who's still growling lowly. Y/n tries to pull away, but Toothless starts sniffing her, checking for weapons. Once he knows she doesn't have any, he slowly puts his head under her hand]

He's showing that he trusts you.
[Toothless moves away and huffs, looking at Hiccup. Hiccup smiles at him, grabbing the saddle from behind a rock and presenting it]

A saddle? Are you thinking of riding a dragon?!
HICCUP
Yep! [Toothless playfully runs away from Hiccup.] Hey! [Hiccup rides Toothless, tugging the prosthetic tail fin with a rope to change its position. The wind blows at them and they tumble backward. Toothless crashes into a field of Dragon Nip and rolls in it comfortably] Whoa! [Holds up Dragon Nip. He and Y/n look at each other, somewhat smiling]
