y/n pov:

as soon as the lift doors opened, i ran to the ward and went in. there i saw the two people i wanted to see the most, one lying on the bed and one taking care of the other.

"y/n ah, you're here," my dad said.

"yes appa, what happened to eomma?" i asked.

"she was so worried about you she couldn't even focus, she crossed the road when she wasn't meant to and yeah..." he explained.

"i'm sorry eomma... if only i wasn't such a bad daughter, if only i studied well all along, the teachers wouldn't have insisted that i cheated... i'm sorry for worrying you... please come to... you're finally back, i don't want you gone again..." i sobbed between tears.

suddenly, she started coughing as appa said, "go get your mom some water," passing me the water bottle.

i took it from him and made my way out.

as i walked out of the door, a familiar figure caught my eye.

"yo... yohan?" i asked. what was he doing here...

"y/n i-" *beeeeeep*

before i could hear what he had to say, i ran back into the ward.

"eomma! no! you can't just leave me like that... you finally came back, why are you leaving me again? you promised you would see me graduating, you promised to stay in korea after i graduated!" i cried.

"please leave the ward for a while, we will have an emergency trial to save the patient," the doctor said as we quickly left the ward.

"stay with your mom, i'll go to the gents first," appa said as he left.

"y/n..." i heard yohan say while walking over.

"go away... it's all your fault! once i saw you, eomma left me! go away, i don't want to see you again! what are you even doing here anyway?" i shouted.

"y/n but-"

"go away! i don't want to see you ever again! i hate you!" i shouted.

yohan pov:

(back to the time after school)

as i walked out of the classroom, i saw y/n running really fast. what's going on..? she doesn't have to act like that no matter how excited she is right? did something else happen? obviously, curiosity got the better of me as i followed her.

she jumped into a cab so i went into the cab after and followed her.

hospital..? why is she... did something happen to her... parents?

"just go to the third level, first ward there," i heard the nurse telling her.

she ran to the elevator immediately as i stayed still at where i was. can't possibly go into the same lift as her and expose the fact i'm there right?-

after she took the lift up, i took the next lift that came and waited outside the ward patiently. somehow, i had the urge to wait for her, when she was worried, i was worried too. i never felt this way about anyone before, what is going on with me...
