Hey guys. Thnx for all the reads. I love you all so much. I hope everybody had a Happy Easter. I'm sorry to say that I will not be updating until after tomorrow becuase it is my step dad birthday and i have a lot to do. I also have to go out almost all day so no updates. When I go back school there will be little updates as well. Let me stop talking about me and let us get to the story, chapter 13

I'm waiting for Valerie at 50 Street Off Green Wood at the Old Mansion. She walks up to me and says,"I know what to do."

She knocks on the door. A small slide opens. "Who is there?!" a guy asks.

"It's Joey's and Mike's girlfriend," Valerie says. The guy opens the door and he wlets us wak in. "What up Duncan," I saywhile he rolls are eyes.We see lots of creepy stuff, as if the mansion was haunted or something. Duncan leads us to a room, where everyone in the gang is. Valerie walks over to Joey as I walk over to Mike. We sit down and they start the meeting.

I tune out thevoices because they are straight up boring. After 15 minutes, I ask to go to the  bathroom.

"Yeah. You know where it is babe?" Mike asks. I shrug as I stand up.

"I'll figure it out," I say. I motion for Valerie to come with me and she stands up, with Joey's hand in hers.

"I'll come with you," she says as Joey pouts. They have a hushed conversation until finally, Joey lets go of her hand. He frowns at me, then faces the wall and crosses his arms. When we're alone in the hallway I have to ask what happened back there, so I did, "What was that about?"

Valerie blushes."Oh nothing," she says quickly, playing with her fingeres.I scoff. I don't believe her but I know she'll tell me when she's ready.

We begin to look around for anything that might help us figure out the deal with the necklace. After about 20 minutes, we enter a room that seems to be a library.

Valerie's eyes sparkle as she glances around." Wow," she says as her eyes land on all the ancient books. "There are books from the 1800s,1900s,2000s, all yeard round," she says. I roll my eyes and pick up a random book. Women's Secrets, it reads.

I slam the red and thick book on the table, flipping through the pages. "Look at this," I say to Valerie. She walks over to me and looks at the page that the book is open to. It has a picture of the necklace that I have around my neck and I notice the necklace beginning to glow. Valerie begins to read:

"The Controlling Necklace is the most powerful item anyone can own. Not only is the magical necklace the most beautiful treasure on Earth, but it also puts its beauty to good use. Just by three magical phrases, the user of the necklace can put anyone into a trance, obeying the user's every command. However, the user can also be slave. With the same three magical phrases, anyone with a replica of the necklace can put the user of the necklace into the same trance," Valerie stops and stares at me with wide eyes. I let out a shaky breath and nod at her, telling her to continue.

"But, like any other treasure, there is always a downside. The necklace doesn't work properly during the year, and if one were to be put in the slave trance during the year, the person would go through horrible side affects, such as but not limited to: loss of memory, decreasing the number of intelligence, loss of control over limbs and going crazy or in other words, losing your mind. It's power is best at New Year's. If not used with proper care, the neckalce might also upset the balance of the universe because of the repeated use of traveling time. Yes, the neckalce can also be used to travel time, using two different phrases," Valerie stops reading and looks over at me. I'm staring at the book, wondering how many things are in there that we don't know about.

Suddenly, Valerie stands up. "We should go. They might get worried and come looking for us," she says, referring to Mike and Joey. She walks over to the door, opening it.. "C'mon Faith, we can-WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" she yells.

The necklace is glowing a bright blue color. I place my hand over the page and the necklac gets heavier. I take in a sharp breath and glance at two lines of what seems gibberish. I can't understand what it means. but as I lean in closer, the light from the necklace seems to rearrange the letters into something that I can read.

"Red ruby, blue diamonds. All in my hand. Turn back the time and bring me to past land"

I read the lines, and out of nowhere, a big and powerful wind circles around me. The book fades into the winds, as well as Valerie, who is reaching out to me.

"Faith! NO!" she yells. That's all I hear before everything goes black.

That was a very interesting chapter. OMG What has happened to Faith she just disappered, what happened to Valerie and where the hell is Mike and Joey when you needed them. What is going on with Valerie and Joey, last time I checked Valerie was not interested in a relationship. Also that was a long chapter. That is all I really needed to say and please comment and vote.
