Chapter 22
The other by Lauv

Thalia's hands were trembling while holding the brochure given by Demi Jones' partymate. Her eyes were still on the brochure, staring at its contents. Her palms were starting to sweat. Her breathing also changed as the words which were written on the brochure lingered on her mind.

And there were photos as well. Photos of her real home... photos of the street where she lives... Photos of the slum area where she belonged.

Thalia still couldn't believe what was written on the brochure, not only Demi knows her real identity, she also put incriminating photos of her that she isn't really rich, that she lives in a slum area near their university. Demi even put her photo in the brochure, making fun of it for being a liar and two-faced bitch. And now, everyone knows her secret since Demi's partymates are giving their party's campaign brochures to those students who would pass by.

She's doomed. She's fucked. Her life is over.

Thalia looked around and scanned her surroundings. She now noticed that the students after reading the brochure, looked at her in disgust. Some even looked disappointed at her. In short, the students definitely believed what was written on Demi's campaign brochure.

Her heart eas thumping faster. Yumuko na lang siya at hindi na nagsalita. She avoided everyone's gazes at her. She was embarrassed and ashamed. Ashamed that the truth about her life finally came out.

Ashamed that what Demi Jones has written on the brochure—all of it are true.

Thalia remained looking down despite hearing the whispers and murmurs of some of the student that she would pass by. They were murmuring about her and her lies. They all believed what Demi had spread because of the pictures. Some are even mad as well that she seemed to be embarrassed about her reali identity—na ikinakahiya raw niya ang pagiging mahirap niya.

She wanted to cry but she can't. Not in front of the other students.

"Shit," she silently cursed when she bumped into someone. When she looked up, it was no other Demi Jones herself as well as two of her friends. Demi was smirking at her while the other two looked at her like she was most disgusting thing in the planet.

"Oh, look who's here. It's your council president. The double-life, social-climbing and poor Thalia Andreasson." Demi Jones mocked loudly and Thalia could hear the students laughing at her.

Hindi na niya pinansin ang mga ito at nagpatuloy lang sa paglalakad. This is what she always had said to herself. People will always bully her because of her status. This is what she was afraid of.

And it's just happening all over again. The bullying...

Everyone was laughing and making fun of her now. She was a laughing stock. She was an embarrassment of a person. A social climbing one.
