It's almost been a week, and Carol hardly has spoken to me. Every time I try to start a conversation with her, she instantly shuts me down.

It hurts.

It really hurts.

With Carol not speaking to me, at least my boxing is increasing. Elizabeth says that I'm advancing faster than any of her students who have been there for months, and I've only been there for not even a week.

It's Thursday, and I'm sitting at the desk with a ton of paperwork. My manager came in and said that Genevieve was going to be taking over the class today, and I was a little relieved, but not when I found out I had a ton of paperwork.

As I'm going through this paperwork, my mind wanders off somewhere and I can't help but think;

Harge hasn't done anything lately.

I haven't gotten any calls about anything, and I'm starting to think that maybe he gave up. Maybe he realized that it was hopeless to fight a battle in which he was going to lose anyways.

But, I spoke too soon.

I heard my phone ring in my pocket and I pulled it out and saw that Stephanie was calling me. I answered, "Hello?"

"Terry, you need to come to my house right now. It's an emergency," she sounded panicky and I felt my heart start pounding.

"What's wrong?" I had a feeling I knew where this was going.

"It's Richard," she paused. "Someone attacked him,"

I felt my pulse in my veins and I felt my heart pound against my chest. I tightened my fist on the desk as I tried to hold it all together.

"I'm on my way,"

"Hurry. I already called the police," she hung up and I quickly grabbed everything and informed my manager about what was going on.

I quickly rushed out to my car and got in then drove off. The whole ride there, my blood was boiling and I felt my skin crawl because there wasn't a doubt in my mind about who did this.

Time is running out for me.

It didn't take long to get there, and I already saw two police cars there. I knew this was going to get bad, and I pray that Richard hasn't said anything to them about Harge. I didn't want him doing that, and I know that it would be the best, but damn it, I want Harge!

I personally want to get a hold of Harge, because all the police are going to do is investigate and Harge is going to lie like he's never lied before, and sure enough, he'll get out of this situation. That's why I want him personally.

To beat his fucking ass.

I got out and saw a few police officers look at me as I was making my way to the front door. I walked right in and saw another police officer talking to Stephanie, and that's when I saw Richard getting checked out by a paramedic, on the couch.

I walked over to him and sat down. I studied his face, and it looked horrible. He had blood dripping down his face, a black eye, busted lip. His clothes looked torn and they had blood stains on them also.

He looked over at me and I saw something in his eyes. He looked away as the paramedic was looking him over. I looked over at Stephanie and she looked at me. "Hey," she walked over to me and I stood up. She sighed, "I don't know," she crossed her arms and looked at Richard. "Richard didn't get a look at the person who did this to him, so the information to the police is useless,"

I looked down then back up at her. "I'm sorry,"

She looked at me, "Why are you sorry?"

I shrugged. I didn't want to tell her anything, even though it is my fault. All of this is my fault.
