As Devyn began to load the dishwasher, her phone buzzed the same agonizing ringtone: short yet alerting...

Again. For what seems like the hundredth time today.

Shaking her hands dry, she reached over to the counter where her phone rested upon. Her screen lit up as she lifted it off the counter, showing all her notifications, whether it was from Instagram, Snapchat or just a message from someone on her phone, the most recent being from Chloe Jenkins, her one true friend.

She opened her phone to see what drama Chole had now (she always had something, or someone to complain about). Devyn was shocked to see that Chole had invited her somewhere (if that was an invite).

Chole: Hey babes. Guess who just had the best idea to go explore that creepy old hospital at the edge of town? That's right...ME! You can't say no, meet me there @10pm

Devyn groaned. Chole had always been the type to go explore haunted places. Sighing in defeat, Devyn finished loading the dishwasher with her dinner dishes.

Devyn Baker. A college student studying at New England College, studying arts. She had always been a fan of arts: sculpting, painting, crafting, all of it.

But Devyn had always been the stubborn and selfish girl growing up. Whether she was yelling at her group of friends for not hanging out with her to getting an A- on her tests, no one wanted to get on her bad side. Even the teachers and principal. That's how she got her popularity.

From being a cold stuck-up bitch.

Crawling into her bed, she reached over to her nightstand to plug her phone in. She wanted some sleep if she was going to stay at the asylum all night.
