"Wait, didn't your father leave before you were even born?" Debby asked. "Yeah, but that doesn't mean my mother never talked about him."
"What is a paper about him doing in this place?" Ryan asked. "I-I'm not sure." Devyn sighed. "What else does it say?" Mark asked.
"Just a bunch of information about him. And a photo of him as well." Devyn grabbed the small photo that had been taped to the paper. She held it out to Mark, who looked at it, examining it.
"Why does he look so familiar?" Kelly asked, looking as well. "Do you think he was at our school?"
Devyn closed her eyes, leaning her head against the wall. "Something isn't adding up." Devyn mumbled. "What do you mean?" Kyle asked.

"Dev, please." Mark begged, looking at the girl in front of him who was frozen in her own spot. "Wake up!" He shouted. "What's happening to her?" Debby asked. "Hey, Dev. Can you hear me?" Mark asked, his voice shaking as he spoke. Tears had blurred his vision. "What's happening to you?" He asked.
A loud thud next to them scared the group as they turned to face the noise. A first-aid kit was laid there, along with a book. Mark turned back to face Devyn, catching her as she suddenly fell. "Grab it!" Mark hollered. Debby ran over to the kit and grabbed them before running back to Mark.
Mark grabbed the book from her, opening it to the first page. Symbols had overtaken the first entire page, but he couldn't read them. He continued to flip the pages rapidly before his eyes scanned over big, bolded letters;
