euria stayed home the next day too. even though things got fixed with robby and semi okay with hawk. she still felt like she couldn't be around either of them. she felt as if she is betraying the both of them. she didn't know why she felt that way, she didn't understand what she was feeling. the more she thought about it the more hawks words kept coming to her "if you want me or need me you know where to find me" , the words in printed in her brain like words in a book. she didn't know how to feel to the words but she felt something. she pulled out her phone and texted robby.
euria: hey, can we talk real quick?
robby: yeah of course, is everything okay? you weren't at school again.
euria: everything is fine. it's just, can we cancel that date? i think we need to not rush it.. and just start as friends. is that okay?
euria sighed, she didn't know what she was doing but she knew she needed to do this in some way. her phone dinged again and she looked down picking it back up to read the text.
robby: yeah sure, i agree. i was thinking about it today, i think we shouldn't rush into a relationship before even starting a full friendship.
euria smiled in relief that he agreed to her text, she quickly texted back a smiley face and left it as that. she got up and walked down stairs and went to grab some food. as doing so the door bell rung while there was knocking.
"why can't anyone leave me alone for one day" she sighs dropping what she's doing, walking towards the door and opening the door slowly to see that hawk was standing there, in the rain.
"hawk? what are you doing here?" she asked opening the door so the boy can come in to get dried off.
hawk walked through and looked at her "i'm sorry for coming over again" he watches her grab a towel from the closet next to the kitchen and walks back over to him handing him the towel so he could get some what dry at least.
euria looked at him "it's not an issue, it's just i didn't think you would want to talk to me from what happened yesterday"
the boy laughed a little and nodded his head "yeah neither did i actually, but something in my gut told me to stop over here on my way home from school" he says drying off the best he could.
she looks at him and goes to grab the blanket off the couch to hand to him and tells him she would be back and walked up the stairs to grab some clothes she has left from her brothers room before he moved away. the girl walked back downstairs and handed them to him. "here, they were my brothers before he moved away. you can use them while we dry your clothes" she smiles looking at him.
"thank you, i'll go change real quick" hawk said walking off to see that the bathroom was next to the closet she got the towel from. euria waited a couple of minutes before hawk walked out of the bathroom and walked towards her handing her the clothes and as she took them from him, their hands touched and something inside her just felt different.
"i'll be back, i'm gonna take these down stairs" she walked off shrugging off whatever just happened and walked down the stairs and put the clothes into the dryer. she slapped her head because she didn't like what she was thinking or feeling. she stayed there for a few moments and then decided to walk back up the stairs into the living room.
hawk looked up as he stood there "thank you again, for this"
euria nodded her head "of course, come let's sit on the couch" the two of them walked to the couch, and sat down. they both didn't know what to say to each other, they didn't know who should speak first, or what was even happening.
she went to speak but hawk beat her to it first. "im sorry for what i said yesterday, you can hang and even date who ever you want. i shouldn't get in the way of that" hawk shrugged and looked at her with sorry eyes.
"it's okay hawk. i get it. you were scared i'll get hurt, no need to worry about that anymore alright?" she laughed a little to try and lighten up the mood
he looked at her confused "what do you mean anymore?"
she shrugged "i told him i wanted to cancel off the date and just be friends for now. it's just the best thing for now."
the boy nodded his head, understanding where she was coming from but also hoping that maybe just maybe he had a chance with her. the two kept on talking and laughing, even watched movies and ate dinner together.
few hours go by and eurias front door open "honey i'm home, did you eat already?" her mom slightly yells walking into the door, she took her shoes off and walked into the living room, she turned to see her daughter and boy sitting next to each other watching a movie "oh hi! who might you be?" her mother spoke
hawk looked over and stood up to greet her mom "im so sorry, i didn't want to be bother, im eli. but i go by hawk" he smiles shaking her hand.
eurias mother smiled, "you're not a bother. i didn't know euria was gonna have company today. it's nice to meet you eli, im aria summers"
hawk smiled, going to sit back down next to euria. "sorry mom, i didn't know he was coming over and i totally forgot to text you about it." euria spoke to her mother.
"it's okay honey, just tell me next time. i see you've guys already ate. thank you for cleaning up after words" her mother smiled towards the two of them.
"there's a plate in the fridge for you, we made sure to make extra for you" her daughter replied back to her.
eurias mom smiled and thank the two. going to warm up the plate and take it to her office to finish off her work.
euria and hawk continued to watch movies for the whole night, and got to know each other a lot more than they already did. the two of them both ended up falling asleep on the couch next to each other. euria's mother didn't mind, she still was just so happy her daughter was making friends after such a big move.
