by time lunch came, euria was in extreme pain in her jaw, no she didn't want to tell anyone. which in fact she didn't. no one noticed that she was barely able to talk, or was barely eating. well no one but miguel that is. miguel could tell every time she winced trying to eat her food, or when she tried to talk. miguel kept looking at euria, saddened that she would even get into a fight. she was always against fighting but i guess right now is an expectation. he got up and walked over to her, bending down to ear level and whispered to her.
"meet me out side the lunch doors, we need to talk" he says quietly into her ear. euria nodded her head as she waited for him to walk out the door so she can then follow after. as he walked out she smiled to her friends, getting up slowly and looking around to make sure tory was no where near, she walked out the doors and stood in front of miguel.
"you're in pain, please let me take you to the hospital or something" he says to her. she shook her no and went to walk back in but he grabbed her hand gently. "euria you are barely eating your food and when you talk you wince and you hover over a lot. please just let me take you right now. forget about school, let's just go" he tries to plead with her to get her to say yes. she needed to be checked out and she knew that. but she didn't want to cause trouble for her friends or for her mother. "please euria" miguel says one final time. she looks at him and sighs.
"okay" is all she could get out of her mouth. he nodded his head as she handed her car keys over to him, he put his hand around her back like he did after the fight broke out and walked out the front doors together into the parking lot and into her car.
once they reached her car he slowly let her get in to the car, walked to the driver side, he put the keys in and turned the car on, he smiled over at her and drove out of the parking lot. "i know you didn't want to do this because you think you're gonna be a bother or something like that but i promise mi reina that you're not a bother at all"
euria raised her eyebrow, she didn't know spanish so she has no idea what he called her. but she just smiled and mouth a thank you.

euria sighed as miguel drove into the hospital parking lot, she looked at him and rolled her eyes, she didn't want to be there what so ever. she wanted to be at home and in her bed. but that wasn't gonna happen any time soon, miguel got out of the car and walked to her side, opening the door and waited for her to get out, once she did he put his arm around her back again and walked with her into the hospital.
"what's she here for?" the lady at the front desk asked him, she looked euria up and down and grabbed a pen to write with.
"her jaw, she can barely move it and can barely eat. her eye is also swollen as you can see. i'm not sure if there's anything else she can barely talk because of her jaw"
the front desk lady nodded her head, wrote down the things and asked for the ids of the two kids. "does her parents know she's here?" the lady asked him, miguel shook his head no and the woman sighed "well i'm gonna have to call the parents, she's under the age of 18, but we will get her back there as soon as possible".
"thank you ma'am, really thank you"

couple of minutes go by and euria was finally called into the back, miguel again puts his arm around her and walks next to her, along side the nurse.
the nurse smiled at the two and allowed euria to get on the bed. the nurse took her vitals and asked what happened, miguel told her that a fight broke out in school and it really messed up her jaw. he went on and told her exactly what he told the front lady.
the nurse nodded her head and smiled again the kids. "thank you, doctor should be in shortly. you guys make such a cute couple" she says walking off before miguel could say they weren't.
euria fell asleep, it's been almost an hour and the doctor still hasn't came to see her.
there was sudden bust through the curtain that opened so quickly and it showed a older women that looked exactly like euria but with brown hair. the women smiled at miguel. "i'm sorry to startle you, i'm aria summers, eurias mom." she reached over to shake his hand.
miguel smiled at the gesture and shook her hand back "miguel diaz, i'm her guy best friend"
"can you tell me what happened?"
miguel nodded and proceeded to tell her what went down at school today. he told her every detail besides the fact that euria was dating his best friend, all he could tell her about why tory did what she did was because she was mad that euria didn't want her.
"well thank you for trying to protect her and thank you for bringing her here. i know she was probably stubborn about it." her mother says to him. he nodded his head yes as they waited for the doctor.

another hour went by and they were still waiting till the curtain pulled to the side and eurias mom slowly woke her up. the doctor had her get x rays, and helped clean around her eye a bit better. as they waited euria apologized to her mom, she felt so bad she got into a fight at school, but her mom didn't seem to be mad at her. it was shocking but her mom understood.

another hour passed and as the doctor came back, he looked at the three of them and spoke "her jaw is slightly broken, which is why it's so hard for her to speak, we are gonna put in jaw wires to help it, they will stay in for a little bit but i promise if you take care of it, you will heal" the doctor told them. as a nurse came in with the jaw wires, to place them into the side of her right side, miguel held her hand and watched as they did so.

thirty minutes later she was discharged and was able to go home, thankfully this time she had a reason to stay home from school. miguel took her home in her car as her mother met them at the house. her mother thanked him once again as he walked home since he only lived three house down from her.
