Sapnaps POV

I woke up to light streaming through the windows, and the sounds of a bustling city below us. Us. I turned over and saw Aika in my arms. She's so peaceful and perfect, who hurt her. I turned away from her, and began getting up. She grunted softly and maintained her death grip on my torso. Submitting to her wishes, I laid back down and she cuddled back up to my side.

An hour later, I woke up to her on her phone, with a blank expression. "Morning." She said, absolutely no emotion in her voice.

"Goodmorning. Do you wanna talk about last night?" I asked, minding how sensitive the topic could be.

"I- yeah. I'd love to talk about it, actually." She inhaled, putting her phone face down on the bedside table and looking at the ceiling, then back down at the bedsheets sprawled over her lap. "I'm sure you remember the long term relationship I mentioned ending." I nodded, maintaining eye contact with her even though she was not returning it. "He... wasnt great. He was mentally and occasionally physically abusive. He also did some... illegal stuff. That's expected when you meet a guy in one of the biggest partying capitols in the country, right?" She looked at me, like the question wasnt rhetorical, but it apparently was because she continued. "He cheated on me with his ex that he smoked with at nearly every party. He told me not to worry about her, but I'm pretty sure you know how stuff like that goes." I nodded. "He was the... he was the guy that was outside my apartment.  I'm sure you saw him. On the stream he sent me... here I'll just... show you." She pulled out her phone and opened up his contact again.

The text was vile. Calling her a whore was unnecessary, and far from what she is. It's her job. "Oh Aika..." I frowned and pulled her in for a hug again.

"I'm so happy you came, if you were any later..." she stopped and froze. "It doesn't matter. You're here."

She dropped her phone and I hugged her tightly. "Me too."

We sat in comfortable silence for 20 minutes before she spoke up. "Screw this. I'm gonna go make lunch, wanna go out tonight? I'm done crying over him." I was appalled at her sudden boldness.

"I'd love to go out, but what if I get spotted?" She looked at me and cocked her head to the side

"You're a grown ass man, your fanbase can grow a pair and let you live life. It'll be lots of fun, I swear." She got up and began walking out the door.

"Wait, Aika. Is there gonna be beer pong?" I was actually serious, I'm a beer pong god.

"I'm not sure, it's hit or miss with big city parties." She paused, almost looking like she was deciding whether or not to continue. "If not, we can just go through my texts and see what other parties I'm invited to tonight."

My mouth fell agape. "And how many options are there?"

She looked down in embarrassment. "Usually... around 150..."

"Holy- so you're hot shit?"

"You could say that." She shrugged nonchalantly and continued out the door. "I'm gonna go make waffles."

"Oh hell yeah!" Like a rowdy toddler, I bolted out of the room, and past her down the hallway.

I vaguely remembered where everything was, but last night was still a blurry mass in my memories. "Nick can you make yourself useful and get the damn mix at least?" She asked, plugging in the waffle maker.

I began towards the pantry, and brought down the bag that had waffles on it. "This?"

She took it from me with a smirk. "No, it's the one with pancakes on it, yes it's this dumbass." I moped over to the island in the kitchen, faking sadness, and put my head down. Aika rolled her eyes, "fine, thank you."

I lit up with a huge smile. "Your welcome mama."

"Chat was right..." she mumbled under her breath.

"What was that?" I sat up straight in the barstool I was now sitting on.

"I said." She stepped back and cleared her voice. "Chat. Was. Right."

She spoke firmly, but not necessarily loud. "Take that back." I slammed my hands on the table.

"Too damn late, bitch boy."

I sat back down  and crossed my arms, letting out little fake grunts every half a minute until the waffles were plated. "What do I wear to this party though?" I had been wondering since she brought up the topic.

"You're a party person, right? You should know."

"I'm a college party person, not big city parties smartass." She rolled her eyes and continued eating without responding. "Hello?? Please, if I get spotted I just want to look drippy bro."

She dropped her fork about an inch and shot me a gaze saying 'shut the fuck up and let me eat' and I obliged.

Once we finished eating she put her dirty plate in the dish washer, and gestured me to follow her. I trotted down the hallway after her like a puppy as she took a sharp left into a spare room. Inside, was shelves and racks filled with large pants, shirts, hoodies, and an alarming amount of flannels.

"So uh... did you murder an overweight middle school boy from California?" She sighed, but I could tell she was holding back a laugh by the way one corner of her lips perked upwards.

"No. These are accumulated by various hookups... boyfriends... girlfriends... that's about it."  She shrugged and squatted down to look at the bottom of the shelf.

"Wait how old did you say you are?" I paused, "wait no- that sounded rude- I mean- you're 20 right?" She nodded. "And you dated that guy for 2 years?"

"Give or take, it might've been a little bit less now that you mention it." She continued shifting through her collection. "So uh what size do you wear?"

"You need to answer my questions first missy. You... had.."

"No, I didn't cheat. We took a lot of breaks where we were inexclusive." She read my mind so I nodded. "Anyways, size?"

"Men's large I believe." She nodded and stood up, walking a few steps to the left and getting on her tip toes.

"Hey, do you mind?" I nodded and placed my hands on her waist softly, lifting her a few inches as she grabbed a black tight fit Thrasher top. "Kay, down."

"So I'm a dog now?" I quirked my head and raised one eyebrow, clearly joking.

"You know what I mean dumbass." She rolled her eyes and reached for a pair of black cargo pants with white stitching. "Do you want a zip up or a flannel?"

"Hmm... whatever makes me more drippy."

"If you say 'drippy' one more goddamn time I'm throwing you out." I pouted and crossed my arms a lot like before and shut up for the rest out the outfit picking. After a bit she threw the clothes at me, "go get changed, so we have time to fix it. I'm gonna get ready early too." I glanced at the clock, it read 1:34. Damn, time flies when you're cuddling with someone you've known for 3 days.

"You got it Princess" and with that I dashed to the bathroom before she could retaliate.
