"are you still sleeping? wake up!"
after hearing my roommate shouting for the 10th time i decide it's finally time to get up.suddenly he comes running in and stops when he sees that i got up.
"i would've dragged you out of your bed if you weren't awake already. we have two weeks left in this apartment together so stop being so lazy and let's go eat some nice breakfast in the cafe nearby.""wow. that felt like an hour. i'm too tired for a speech this early."
he looked at me with his head slightly tilted and an annoyed look on his face.
"fine, chris. give me 20 minutes and then we can go."
-
after the waiter brings us our food i start thinking about the past 4 years.
"you good?", chris asks.
"i'm fine. just thinking about how we first moved in there, so clueless about everything."
"we didn't even know how to change a light bulb", he adds and laughs.
"and now, we barely have two weeks left until we have to move", i look down and take a bite from my croissant.
"it's going to be great. we both want a place for ourselves, we're not eighteen anymore. we have been friends for over fifteen years and that's not going to change just because we don't live together", he looks at me with a reassuring smile.
i nod, "i know, it's just crazy to think that i'll have a place on my own. we shared those responsibilities, but now i have to deal with them on my own."
"and you also have a lot more freedom and can go to the toilet with the doors wide open without worrying about me barging in by accident", we both start laughing and continue eating.
"who am i kidding, it's going to be great", i think to myself.
