UNEXPECTED // P. JIHOON

another month goes by and me and jihoon are still not talking ever since the incident happened.

i was at the company having lunch with teddy in his studio. suddenly someone knock on the door.

"come in", teddy says.

the door opens and jihoons manager is now standing in front of me.

"hello. sorry if interrupted but i'm looking for you, kaia."

"me? why?", i ask confused.

"let's talk about it somewhere else."

we're at a cafe close to the company, which he suggested because there are barely any people around here.

"so did anything happen?", i start the conversation.

"kind of, yeah. i'm here because i'm worried about jihoon."

not quite understanding why he's talking to me about it i ask,

"what does that have to do with me?"

"it's because of you. he can barely focus on his work and doesn't sleep enough, he looks horrible."

"oh... well hope things will get better for him soon."

i take the menu and start looking through the pages.

the manager suddenly takes it out of my hand,

"stop acting like you don't care. i thought i could handle him but nothing i tried helps. the only person who could help is you", he says.

"so what do you want me to do? i can't do anything, i can't even meet him anymore."

he sighs and calls the waiter so we could order.

after doing so he says,

"jihoon told me everything. there's something else i need to tell you."

i feel my heart beating faster.

"i think we could do something about that seolhyun girl."

"what do you mean?"

"i found out she and her family have been doing some illegal work with their company. i got all the necessary proof to possibly end their careers."

i don't quite understand what he wants me to do with this information.

"you're telling me, we should destroy a whole company because of what their daughter did?"

"no. what i'm saying is, you should talk to seolhyun again and try to get her to leave you guys alone. if she doesn't want to you could-"

"-threaten her?", i finish his sentence.

"she did the same thing when she ruined your relationship with jihoon."

i know that he's right but i still have a strange feeling about this.

"what? are you actually going to meet her?", chris asks shocked. lia and i met at my apartment with him and i just told them about seolhyun.

jihoons manager has a plan but he told me not to tell anything to jihoon yet.

"yes. i want to try and save my relationship i have with jihoon.... or had", i say.
