Chapter.4 Camille

    When I arrive at my small cabin near the forest I can't stop thinking about Victoria the way her lips felt against mine when I kissed her. I knew I shouldn't be falling in love with her because she will one day become one of the bounties. I wanted to kill her at least that's what I thought I did but the way she looked so helpless and defeated when I stabbed her leg made me feel horrible. I take the knife I used out of my pocket and walk towards the kitchen to see if I still had water in the jug to wash the bloodied knife. I did. I dunk the knife into the water making a note to empty it in the morning. I grab a clothe from the counter and dry off the knife. It may be night but I still feel wide awake. I walk over to my bedroom and change out of my hunting clothes. I lye awake in my bed waiting for myself to feel tired. I close my eyes and try to sleep but memories of tonight keep reminding me that I was the one who kissed the vampire she didn't kiss me I kissed her. Maybe I was only doing it to distract her, but from what I already had her on the growned yet I still helped her. Everything had been going to fast. I didn't even kiss her for long it was quick. I let out a long sigh and get out of bed heading and put on a small cloak. I need water. I walk over to my kitchen grabbing a wooden cup and walk outside to the well.

   I pour the water from the well into my cup and take a long sip and walk back into my house hoping that maybe this will help calm my mind from all of my racing thoughts. I remove my cloak and get back into bed this time I'm able to drift off into sleep.

 When the morning arrives I keep sleeping not wanting to get up not yet. I'm still tired from last night. When I do wake up the sun has fully risen and is almost in the middle of the sky. I put on my hunting clothes and grab my bow and arrows and go into the forest I need to find something to eat after all. I'm able to get a few rabbits and a small bird which should be enough food to last me awhile since I am alone after all. I cook up some of the rabbit and wrap it up in some cloth. I have to head into work soon and pick up my bounty for the day. I get into my vampire hunting uniform and head towards the forest leading into the town. While walking into town thoughts of Victoria burst into my mind. Why can't I stop thinking about her? 

   When I arrive into town I make sure to quickly check out the vendors stand for anything good. I let out a sigh. The day market never has anything good, I'll just have to wait for night to go to the night market. Maybe I could bring Victoria with me? I close my eyes. I don't even want to see her anymore I want to forget about he she's a vampire and I'm a human. I don't even like her I just kissed her because I knew it would throw her off. I turn the corner lost in my thoughts and bump into someone. "Hey watch where your going girl." says an voice. "Sorry" I say. For the rest of the day I'm going to put Victoria out of my mind. When I enter the vampire hunters guild I scan the bounty board for any interesting vampires. AHA Tylen Baldrick, he seems interesting. I snatch the bounty from the board and head to the training room to practice my combat skills.

  The Vampire hunters guild once used to be a home until I was old enough to live on my own then I moved into the woods where I could hunt and do whatever I wanted without being as restricted. The guild has many rules you have to obey in order to live here. You have to have permission to do anything but kill vampires and leave for the day, you must train daily, eat 3 meals, never pick a fight with any one unless you are training, and once you have lived here for 10 years you may leave so long as you never leave the guild. I had been 6 when the guild took me in after being orphaned. I had been to young to actually hunt the Vampires so I trained and made may way to be in the top 3 hunters obliviously not a head but if I continue down this path someday I will be a head of the guild. I'm only 17 now but I do sometimes miss the nights where I would sleep here. 

   I spar against another girl using a wooden staff. I hit her in the stomach. She try's to attack me but I'm to quick and dodge the attack. I go to her back side and whack her in the back. She stumbles forward. I give her a moment to catch her breath and then continue. When we finish I go to grab a drink of water. I inhale sharply exhausted after training and last night with Victoria. I walk back towards the training area ready to do some weapon training when I notice a group of girls surrounding the bounty board. I approach the board and notice a new bounty was posted but its not a usual bounty. The bounty is for locating a vampire instead of killing them.  I push some of the girls aside to get a closer look at the money they would pay for the bounty. They really want to locate this vampire. I look at where the vampire is suspected to be and realize its the forest near my cottage. My heart drops. If they are looking for Victoria she would get killed.
