Chapter. 9 Victoria

    I stand in the forest alone watching Camille walk away. I think about going after her but I remember how annoyed she looked before.  I stand in the forest alone. Camille never loved me she was only trying to escape. I cant stop the tears , I plop down on the forest floor and cry watching the girl I love walk away. Just like the other human girl I loved before. Maybe humans were all the same, I was stupid for thinking they would love a vampire. My face starts to ache like a giant blister. I know I've stayed out in the sun for to long, even though the trees hide the sun it can still peak through. I pull myself together, I will ever fall in love with a human girl again. I walk back to my cabin.

  I arrive back in my cabin and remember that tonight is the blood festival in town. A jolt of joy rushes through me. The blood festival is one of the only times that vampires can have human blood, the guards send in a few prisoners and towns folk who volunteered, for the vampires to feed on. It's hard to remember the last time I was able to feel the warm sensation of human blood in me. 

  I suddenly start to feel exhausted, I must have over worked myself by not sleeping. I walk into my bedroom and immediately fall onto my bed. The softness of the wool mattress makes me far more tired. 

I wake up and the sky is dark. Perfect. I put on my nicest dress and put on a clean cloak. I brush my hair and braid it back nicely. I head out the door and straight through the forest. 

   I arrive into town and see everything lit up by candles. The road covered in vampires. I see human vendors trying to sell their goods. I walk by their stalls looking for things that catch my eye. I find something it's a necklace of the moon. I stop by the stall. 

  "You interested in that girl?" Asks the vendor. I nod my head. "It's 20 shillings."

   I go to grab my pouch of money but realize I forgot it at my cabin. Shit. "You got money or not girl?" Says the vendor getting impatient. I check my pockets frantically looking but once again find nothing. A thought enters my head, I could just compel him to give it to me for free. I look at the vendor in the eye. 

"You will give this necklace to me for free and then forget you ever saw me." I say to the vendor keeping my voice low enough so that the other vampires cant hear. The vendor hands me the necklace and I put it in my pocket. I turn around and bump into to someone. 

   I see a beautiful girl. She has blonde hair and green eyes, and is a vampire. 

  "I didn't know you were allowed to compel people here." Says the girl sweetly.

  "I didn't know pretty girls still existed." I say trying my hardest to flirt with her. I see her smile in the moonlight. I smile back at her.

   "your very flirtatious miss..." She pauses.

   "Its Victoria and you?" 

     "Amaris."

    "Want to go grab a drink with me" 

        She nods and I lead the way. We walk into a dimly lit tavern, with many vampires and a few humans in the back. I walk over to innkeeper.

   "Who will it be?" Asks the innkeeper, pointing to the menu. I look over to Amaris to see if she knows who she'll pick. I look over the names. 

  "I will take Celestine." I say. The inn keeper nods and looks over to Amaris. 

    "Anika." Says Amaris almost  as if she's asking. The innkeeper walks over to the girls and points to me and Amaris. The girls walk up to us. I nod towards Amaris. I compel Celestine so she wont feel the pain of my teeth in her neck. 

   I start to feel the warmth inside my stomach almost as if I'm finally full, it feels so good. I take more blood from Celestine, I try not to take to much because I don't want her  to faint at least once the humans have been feasted on they get to go home. I let go of her and wipe my mouth. I look over to Amaris who's still feasting. I spot a Couch siting down would be nice.

  Soon Amaris finishes and comes to sit next to me. As she's siting down her hand brushes against my leg. "sorry" I hear her say. I look at her and see her face go red. Amaris turns back towards me looking me in my eyes. I turn away and see vampires dancing to no music but enjoying themselves, and vampires at the counter drinking ale or humans blood. I turn back to her. We both look into each others eyes and smile. She brushes a piece of hair away from my face. I know all to well what happens next. She leans in towards me and presses her lips against mine.
