I spend most of my night training on fighting. I'm going to be the top hunter. I may have lost Tylen but I'm not going to lose Victoria. I wake up early in the morning. I go over to my chickens pen and see if theirs any eggs. I find a few eggs and grab them. I grab out a pan and start a fire to fry the egg. I eat the egg and head over to get changed.

I arrive at the hunters guild and train. I train non-stop for the next few hours. After I'm satisfied with my training I head into the Mason, the main guild leaders office.

"Sir I have located the vampire you were looking for."  I say respectfully. He smiles at me. I feel pleased. I cant help but feel slightly guilty she hasn't done anything but she's annoying and I like her, so she must die. I can't like a vampire.

" I knew I could count on you Camille. Thank you I will work on what will happen next. Although I will need you to show me where they live." He says smiling.

" I will sir."

"Although where is Tylen?" He says. This makes me afraid I had failed, I failed to comply with my mission.

I take in a shaky breath. "I'm afraid I was unable to complete it within the first day, however I will do it tonight. I promise."

Mason approaches me and and pats me on the back. I try not to shake under his grasp. He only hurts us when we haven't completed a mission within the first few hours but I hadn't been into work for 2 days.

" Camille your better than that. I'm disappointed in you." He says smiling. I shudder. I have to close my eyes to prevent the fear from really showing. He stands up and closes the door.

"I didn't want to do this to you again but... you must understand." He opens his desk drawer and pulls out the hammer. Mason breaks fingers or kills you. I've had him break almost all of my fingers when I had been younger.

I had failed my mission when I was 6, it was my third mission I had to kill a child because they were a vampire. I didn't want to kill them because they were only a child, but when Mason found out I didn't kill them he sat me down in the chair and put my hand on his desk. I didn't know what was happening. He pulls out the hammer and started breaking thumb, when I started crying he kept going, breaking all my fingers on my left hand. I finally realized that crying was why he had broken my other fingers. So when he came to break my thumb on my right hand I held back the tears. Later that night when I went to bed in my chamber I silently sobbed looking at my distorted fingers.

Mason starts with my pinky. I hear a crack. I hold back my tears and keep my face blank. He smiles.

"Now Camille you will never fail a mission will you?" He asks.

"No I wont sir."

He gets up and pats me on the back.

"Meet me tonight in town square to show me where this vampire lives. Take the day off."

I leave his office and head to the street. I look at my pinky and start sobbing. I had Tylen the other night, I had him. However Victoria came to ruin it all she took me away. If she hadn't gone and meddled in my business I would still have my pinky. I'm going to find Tylen and kill him. I can still work with a broken finger it's a finger I don't use. Sure it hurts an awful lot, but I will make do. My new goal is going to be to kill Victoria, I cant be in love with her because she will die no matter what so me killing her would be best before she kills me. I make my way through the day market before any of the hunters see me crying.

I take a deep breath and search the stalls for vegetables and fruit, I find lots from the farmers surrounding the area. I smell a wonderful smell of fresh baked bread, I know its coming from the bakery. I head to Mot's Bakery the small bakery near the market. I step in and am filled with smells of bread and sweets. I spot blueberry muffins. I buy two of them and head out.

I eat one of them on the road still looking through the stalls. Someone bumps into me, knocking my muffin to the ground. I look around and see a hooded figure running away. Suddenly I notice my second  muffin and gold are gone. This day couldn't get any worse.

I chase after the hooded figure through the crowd of people. I catch up to them and grab their shoulder.

"Excuse but I think you might have something of mine." I say. They turn around and look at me. I examine them. They carry a book attached to a belt with herbs wrapped around the belt. They have short blue hair and brown eyes.

"I don't think I do." They twist out of my grasp, and starts walking away.

"Pretty sure you bumped into me in the market." They pause at my words.

"Maybe you shouldn't be walking in my path." and with that they walk deeper into the crowd.

I stare them in shock, this time I don't know what to say.  They start walking and I watch them walk away. I just lost my gold. I hold back the tears today is the worst. I walk out of the market and gaze up at the kings castle on top of the hill. He's the one who orders us to kill the vampires, there's also a witch hunting guild, and other ones. I walk back through the woods and reach my house. I step in the door and then I let all the pressure and everything from the day go. I sob quietly to myself. Its not my fault, I repeat that in my head. I should have done better. Why couldn't I have just Killed Tylen if I had none of this would have happened.

I sob more and more. Before I know it its almost dark. I wipe away my tears. Just then I hear a faint knock on my door. Standing up I walk towards the door and open it to see, Mason.

"Hello" I say, pushing my fear of him away.

"Hello, Camille. You ready?"

"Yes, I just need to grab my cloak." I say.

Once I grab my cloak Mason leads me out my door towards the path. I go in front and lead him in the direction of Victoria's house. I cant get lost or he will think I was lying. I take a deep breath. If I lead him to Victoria's house this will be over Mason will praise me for my work and I will be the top hunter. I feel happy at the thought, but a small part of me feels guilty, I will be killing Victoria. No I must not think that once she is delt with I can go back to be good.

We arrive close to her home I can see it from the trees. Mason grabs my arm and pulls me down. "Crouch down here." He whispers. I can tell he see's something off in the distance, I just cants see what it is. I look around, then I see it. I can feel my blood draining from my face. I start to feel light headed, I close my eyes.

When I open them I feel even more uneasy. Many carriages are approaching Victoria's house. I try to look for the brand but I see nothing. Was Victoria important?

"Who is this?" Mason asks.

I should tell him her name but I cant. "I don't know." I can see him nod. As the carriages grow closer I hear shouts, to "circle the area" or "Make sure you bring her to the queen." Queen? Our queen isn't as important as the king. Then I realize they are talking about the vampire queen.
