The people at Yuno and Yuki's dorm heard a door knocking sound when Eren knocked on the door. Yuno then decided to open the door for both Touya and Eren, then Yuno greeted the two guests that came to Yuno's dorm. When Eren and Touya walked inside Yuno and Yuki's dorm, they were listening to their music, normal for people Touya and Eren's age to do so. As Yuno had stated she didn't want a lot of guests coming because of Edwin's fear of crowds, Yuno asked if Touya and Eren were inviting some people over to Yuno and Yuki's dorm.
Eren said, "Not that I know of..."
Touya gave a similar response with, "Uh, I don't think so."
Yuno sighed with relief. They went over to Edwin, and they asked Edwin, "Eddie, are you alright? Is something going on?"
Edwin said, "A survival game? What has Fuyu been telling you?"
Yuno replied with, "I don't remember. He told me a lot about it. I can't keep up with it because there is so much information that goes along with it. All I know is there is 13 Diary Holders. I'm the 2nd, Yuki's the 1st. You're the 13th, Eddie, as far as I'm concerned."
Edwin looked outside the window that was opened from earlier, when Edwin, Yuno, and Yuki were having breakfast. They then replied with, "You know, my father, Shinso, knew not only your mother, but Yuki's father. They worked as a trio during not only the survival game, but as friends during very hard times. Your mother was quite fond of Yuki's father, as well as my father. They were best friends."
Yuno said, "Does your father think me, Yuki, and you, want to keep that friendship alive?"
Edwin said, "My father said, and he only said this once, and I quote his words, not mine, but he said, "The next generation of NakaSaiMano should be cherished, and two of the three friends should end up in marriage."'
Edwin continued, saying, "I mean, that's only his words, you know? Whatever it may be, I hope some of the diary holders end up in marriage." (This is literally foreshadowing what will happen later on between some of the diary holders as well as Kazutora and Senju.)
Edwin, still continuing, started off with, "What if this is just fantasy? Is this some kind of illusion?", and then they later screamed, "IS THIS SOME KIND OF DREAM?"
Yuno, worried about Edwin, rushes over to Edwin, saying, "Oh dear, Eddie, you're losing your mind, aren't you?"
Edwin nods their head, and Yuno later tells Yuki, "We have to do something about Eddie, whatever it might be, it's either we help them or we lose them. We can't risk losing our only friend from middle school that we have."
Yuki nods, saying, "Hm...what should we do? Should we keep him in our view so he doesn't lose their mind?"
Yuno says, "Yes, we should, but where is he?"
Edwin is passed out on the floor, and is rushed to the hospital immediately, where doctors have noted that he fainted during an overreaction. Doctors dischaarge him from the hospital the next day after he overreacted.

It is the next day after Edwin got discharged from the hospital, Edwin and Kazutora's mother, Luciel "Ciel" Norman (A reference to Ciel from Black Butler), came to see Edwin after he got discharged from the hospital. She noticed how Edwin was a bit anxious when Edwin saw their mother. So Ciel gave Edwin all of their old stuff that he left at her house. It was the day that Ciel had to tell Edwin something that would then shatter Edwin's heart.
"Eddie, Shinso's gone. I'm sorry...", Ciel said, crying after she gave Edwin their old stuff.
Edwin cried a little, but then broke their sadness.
"I know that Shinso wasn't a good father, but he tried his best to be around you and Kazu. Also, he did his best to take care of your half sister, Minene.", Ciel also said, crying.
Edwin, in shock, said, "Minene? Minene Uruyuu? My...my half sister?"
"Yes, Eddie, she's coming to see you. She'll be at your dorm, 20 miniutes from now.", Ciel replied to their son.
So after the conversation, Edwin made it to their dorm. After the 20 minutes had passed, Minene Uryuu, Edwin's E-Girl half sister, had came to see Edwin after the University of Tokyo let her in as a guest by Edwin's request.

.
Minene had not recognised her half brother since she was 13 years old, so it was going to take a while for Minene to recognise her half brother. When Edwin noticed a noise, Edwin went to check the door. There was their half sister, Minene, waiting in the hallways.
Edwin then called out, "MINENE! I'M HERE!"
To Minene's surprise, she then walked inside Edwin's dorm, looking surprised about how big their dorm was. It was Edwin's dorm only, since he had no one to share with because of some rules set by the University of Tokyo. Minene, in shock, didn't recognise her half brother until 20 minutes after she had walked in.
"Brother? I...I am sorry that I didn't recognise you before. It was ultimately my fault.", Minene said.
Edwin was shocked to hear her voice again, and they said, "Minene, I got news that Shinso passed away. He was my father, but your step-father. How do you feel about Shinso's passing?"
Minene said, "Well, mum told you that, didn't she? Anyways, I don't feel any emotion regarding our father's passing. I was worried at first, since I went to see him during his more than so last moments, but then, after the doctors said he "passed away", I felt heartbroken. Him and Ciel were the only people that cared for me, as well as you, and my other half brother, Kazu. Hopefully, Kazu has a girlfriend by now, since he must learn to grow up and be their own person. In regards to our father's passing, he asked, "Where is Edwin?", to which I responded with, "They couldn't make it, I'm sorry.""
Minene, continuing, said, "He then told me to tell you that, "They're a good kid, and he'll do great things. He'll see their friends soon enough once they arrive at University. He'll be fine.""
Edwin, looks around, and says, "If he did say those words to you, what more could he have said? He was the 13th after all. He did everything he could to keep you, me, and Kazu safe."
Minene, in utter distress, says, "You know, your girlfriend, Kaede, is waiting for you. Do not worry about me, because I can take care of myself. I promise this with all my heart."
Edwin, sighing heavily, says, "I trust you with this...but will these words stay true as time goes on?"
Minene, with her light-hearted attitude, replies with, "They'll stay true as times goes on. I'll make sure of it."
As the two hugged, they both started crying, as their emotions had got to them, having reunited since Minene was 13. Since Minene was happy to see her half brother, she honestly felt enlightened to see him again.
Minene, then looking at the time, said, "I have to go, I'll see you later. Call me when you can."
Edwin nodded as she left, and he spent the rest of their day writing, as whatever he could think of come to their mind.
