Future Diary: Rewritten / 未来日記: 書き直した (Inspired by Sakae Esuno's "Future Diary")

Chapter IX - I'm NOT Dreaming.

Yuzuha had been making plans with Edwin for the last 15 minutes when she decided to tell Suzuya and Arisu that she would be going to see someone that lived at a University dorm. Suzuya and Arisu both gave a thumbs up sign and let her mother know that she was going to see someone. Her mother had said that Yuzuha would have to be back before 12 A.M, to which Yuzuha agreed to the terms. Without any hesitation whatsoever, she grabbed her phone, her signature hoodie, her red and black jogging pants, her red and black socks, as well as her red and black shoes that went with her socks. She also grabbed her wireless headphones that she bought 3 months ago and headed outside to meet up with Edwin at their dorm. It was raining outside on this day, so Yuzuha had put her phone in the pocket which her phone wouldn't get wet, then she put up her hoodie, and walked for an hour to meet Edwin at their dorm. The time was 2:15 P.M on a rainy Wednesday, but Yuzuha didn't mind the rain. She was used to the rain, and didn't need an umbrella as many Japanese people would use. Meanwhile, Edwin had noticed it was raining, and got worried if Yuzuha would make it to their dorm. They decided to fix them something to eat in the meantime, and something for Yuzuha, when she got to their dorm. After Yuzuha made it to Edwin's dorm, Yuzuha had suddenly walked into Edwin's dorm, without making a single noise. When Edwin had somehow realised Yuzuha also had her mask on, Edwin felt some kind of happiness. They then hugged Yuzuha, to which she hugged back.
Yuzuha smiled and said, "It's good to meet you, Eddie."
Edwin nodded, and said, "Yes, it's good to meet you too. How are you?"
Yuzuha, smiling, said, "I'm fine, how about you?"
Edwin, being calm, said, "I'm alright. Thanks for asking. I made you something. It's some kind of traditional Japanese dish."
Yuzuha smiled, and said, "Oh, let me head to the kitchen. Which way is the kitchen?"
Edwin nodded and said, "It's to your left. You'll see it."
Yuzuha then noticed a large kitchen that was in Edwin's dorm. Yuzuha then proceeded to ask, "Do you share this kitchen with anyone?"
Edwin said, "I do. I share it with Yukiteru Amano and Yuno Gasai."
Yuzuha said, "I've heard of those people before. Aren't those two like the most popular people at the university, or something like that?"
Edwin shrugged, then Yuzuha asked, "Oh, are they your friends?"
Edwin responds with, "Yes, both of them are my friends."
Yuzuha asks, "How long have you know them two for?"
Edwin says, "Ever since they were in middle school, I was a freshman in Secondary School at the time I got to know them. I lived next door to both of them. Then, time passed, and now both Yuki and Yuno have grown taller. Both are quite tall for their age. Especially, Yuki."
Yuzuha, concerned, asks, "How tall are they?"
Edwin says, "Yukiteru is 6'4" last time I measured xem, and Yuno is 6'2" last time I measured them, and me? My own mother measured me before I went to University and said I'm 6'7"."
Yuzuha asked, "Your mother? You have a mum?"
Ciel comes out of nowhere and says, "Yes, I'm their mum. Hello, Ms. Hashiro."
Yuzuha, now nervous, says, "Mrs. Norman, it's a pleasure to meet you."
Ciel replies, saying, "Oh, please don't be nervous. I was out a couple of days ago playing volleyball. It was something me and Eddie used to do with Minene and Kazu."
Edwin, sighing, says, "Mum, what brings you here, at 2 P.M in the afternoon?"
Ciel replies with, "Son, I'm here to check up on you. I realised you're getting to know this young lady. Quite a tall young lady, if I'm being honest. Treat your friends well, alright. Eddie?"
Edwin nods, and Ciel leaves the dorm.
Then, as soon as Ciel left the dorm, Kaede had arrived at Edwin's dorm. Nervous, she asked, "Sis? Why are you here?"
Yuzuha looked over at Kaede, and said, "Uh...hello. Your boyfriend invited me here to their dorm. Why?"
Kaede sighs heavily, and says, "Well, I won't bother you two, but YuYu, you have something to tell me later. Right?"
Yuzuha nodded, then Kaede closed Edwin's door and left Edwin's dorm.
Edwin, with a confused look, says, "You're her sister?"
Yuzuha said, "Uh, not technically. She's my half sister."
Edwin nodded, and thought to themself, "Huh, a half sister? Kaede never told me this in the first place."
Edwin then smiled, and asked, "What do you want to do now?"
"Well, I don't know. Maybe we should go outside or something. I know it's raining, but I can handle the rain. Can you?", said Yuzuha.
Edwin nodded, and proceeded to grab their hoodie that they always wore, and decided to go outside in the rain with Yuzuha.
